The main thing is that we teach how to save lives and health of employees (and their families) in an emergency. In addition, the benefits of our services are in solving a particular business problem. Depending on the industry, its risks and the vision of the company's management, we can help: increase the chances for survival of those who have been injured or whose health has suddenly deteriorated, reduce the risk of injury itself save money by reducing injury payouts and reimbursements organize an interesting and useful corporate event What is First Aid? These are the actions of a witness to an emergency on saving lives of the injured or reducing the harm to the health before medical treatment. This is when someone (usually not a doctor) finds a person in a life-threatening state (after a traffic accident, sudden cardiac arrest, burn) and undertakes simple actions learned at the first-aid training. These actions are designed to help the injured survive until arrival of an ambulance (as in the case of cardiac arrest) or to get out of the situation with the least damage (for example, burns). Who should provide first aid? Ukrainian legislation, in particular, the Law of Ukraine "On Emergency Medical Aid", prescribes that first aid shall be provided by: rescue workers of emergency services employees of the state fire department police officers pharmaceutical workers conductors of passenger cars flight attendants. The Law specifies employees who must possess first aid skills in their official duties. It is important to note that these categories of workers should act in order to save people, while the responsibility of other citizens is only to call an ambulance, and the further provision of assistance is their right. What the First Aid is? FAST adheres to Western standards of evidence-based medicine. First Aid is a simple, step-by-step, easy-to-understand algorithm of actions. For example, assessment of breathing, calling an ambulance, turning the injured to the side. First Aid is not provided for treatment: pills and injections are not taught now. How long does one training last? It depends on the program, which in turn depends on the risks of the enterprise and the role of the people we train in the production processes. As a rule, training takes from 6 to 12 astronomical hours. Some categories of employees, like security officers of top management, are trained longer. How often does anybody have to repeat the training? First aid skills, like any other, need support. It is recommended to repeat the training at least once every 1-2 years. What skills do FAST students learn? It all depends on the training program, and the program depends on the risks of the enterprise. We select programs and offer additional options that will really solve the problems of the business. For example, we will train employees of the metallurgical shop in giving first aid at industrial injuries (stopping blood, immobilizing fractures and neck, cooling burns, etc.), and office employees in assisting with "household" emergency situations: act when someone in the office lost consciousness, perform the Heimlich maneuver when someone choked, etc. The program must be commensurate with the risks. Do you issue certificates at the end of your training program? After the training, we issue FAST certificates for passing a course. These certificates are guaranteed by our reputation, namely, by dozens of life-saving cases owing to hands of our students. The certificates are awarded to only those students who have been trained in full. Who does FAST teach? We mainly work with staff of companies and organizations. A wide variety of them. Our clients include representatives of the telecommunications industry, metallurgists, educational institutions, farmers, builders, trading, transport and stevedoring companies, gas producers and cultural facilities teams, charitable foundations and NGOs. Inside organizations, we train completely different audiences: from top management to the security service, from engineering and technical to IT specialists. It all depends on the tasks of the business, we are called upon to solve. Sometimes we provide training for individuals. How to make my business safe for work? What is the basis of training in FAST? We rely on: The European Resuscitation Council Guidelines for Resuscitation First Aid American Heart Association and American Red Cross Guidelines Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine on approval of the procedures for the provision of medical assistance to persons in urgent situations of June 16, 2014, No. 398 FAST instructors, who are they? FAST instructors combine hands-on experience, theoretical training and certification, outstanding presentation and teaching skills, and high motivation to teach others. Among our instructors are: Rescuers of the Rapid Response units of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine ATO Volunteer Rescuers (OOS) Medical workers, including those with experience in emergency medicine Persons certified by the California Emergency Medical Service. Regardless different backgrounds, FAST instructors teach by unitary internal standards and share common views on what effective training should be. FAST customers, who are they? In a broad sense, our main client is a person who has survived an emergency, as his/her further fate answers the question whether we were effective. In a narrower sense, our client is a direct customer of services, that is, the initiator of inviting us for the solution of a problem.
