[https://www.facebook.com/ITCUkraine/] English Українська The project News Events Success stories Documents Contact us ABOUT ITC Linking Ukrainian SMEs in the fruits and vegetables sector to global and domestic markets and value chains The project The Project aims to help Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the fruits and vegetable sector integrate into domestic and global value chains and access new markets, with a focus on the EU. It will be done by assisting SMEs to produce goods in accordance with market requirements, improving the capacities of business support organizations (BSOs) to provide quality business support services to SMEs, and linking SMEs to target markets, particularly within the EU. Direct beneficiaries of the project include SMEs from the selected value chains, local and sector BSOs, and related government institutions and bodies. The Project is funded by the Government of Sweden. Project duration: 2016 – 2021 – the 1st phase; 2021 – 2024 – the 2nd phase. THE PROJECT'S objectives The Project aims to contribute to enhanced competitiveness and sustained export growth of Ukrainian SMEs in the fruits and vegetables sector. The Project is organized around the following four outputs: 1 Roadmap developed for selected value chains in the fruits and vegetables sector 2 Capacities of SMEs strengthened to improve international competitiveness 3 Capacities of BSOs strengthened to provide SMEs with relevant business support services 4 Business linkages created for SMEs to expand sales in both domestic and international markets, in particular in the EU THE PROJECT Coverage The Project began operations in three southern regions of Ukraine: Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Odesa. Since 2019, the Project has also been working with farmers in the Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Vinnytsia regions. Since 2022, the Project has expanded its activities to all regions of Ukraine.
