It is for these reasons that the legal protection of industrial property objects has a number of issues that need to be clarified: increasing the level of administrative and legal protection of industrial property objects; improvement of national legislation; its compliance with international and European standards. The purpose of the article is to study the peculiarities of legal regulation and legal protection of industrial property objects. The exact establishment of the object of legal protection should be conditioned by the existing system of legal protection. In order to improve the legal protection of rights to geographic indications, the author proposed to amend the Art. 51-2 Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, by including this object in accordance with the provisions of the article.
