He also leads the organisation’s Tech Emerging Europe initiative, which is part of the Global Tech Advocates network. Trained as a journalist, he has worked for broadcast and print media for almost 20 years. Since the beginning of his career he has covered technology, innovation, business, investment, trade, macro-economy and political economy. He regularly interviews political and business leaders about economics, business and politics. Andrew’s main area of expertise is Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe as well as the South Caucasus, technology, innovation, business services and investment. He authored and contributed to a number of international business, investment and trade-related publications, guides and reports about the region. He is a consultant and mentor and has also worked with businesses — both start-ups and corporates — and governments, and advised them on their development, investment and communications strategy as well as site selection. He is also a media and place branding coach and he has worked with the likes of the World Bank and run sessions with C-level executives and location marketing teams.
