Nation branding — workshops Struggling to promote your location in an efficient and effective way? Then a nation branding workshop might be what you need! On the one hand, increasing competition in attracting investment and similar national investment laws and incentive regimes make it almost impossible for location to stand out. On the other hand, most national investment promotion agencies (IPAs) don’t utilise the potential of basic tools such as their website. According to the Emerging Europe: Investment Promotion Report 2018, the best IPA in the region received was 65.55 out of 100 points as far as communications and enquiry handling are concerned. The best IPA in enquiry handling received mere 24 points out of 100. Why would you need a location promotion workshop? I can find information about best practices. I can also find stats, you would probably say. But that is not what the workshop is all about. It’s about translating these best practices and those statistics into your country’s or region’s specifics, contrasting it against your neighbours’ efforts and results and making use of available and effective tools to build your country’s or region’s brand. Media training — workshops Insecure and unconfident before a TV interview? Then a media training workshop might be what you need! Media training helps you prepare a message you want to get across in interviews, regardless of the questions you’re asked. You will learn how to use a media interview to your advantage. You will see the difference between print, studio and spot news interviews. You will become aware of the journalists’ tricks and learn how to avoid those traps. Most of all, you will learn exactly how to control the delivery of information and the techniques to build confidence and be able to go into even the most adversarial of interviews. Why would you need media training? Well, you can’t afford not to. An inappropriate or incorrect answer to a reporter’s question can be detrimental to your organisation’s image, lose you business or maybe even result in a lawsuit. On the other hand, a well-done interview can achieve just the opposite… improving your image, gaining you business, new clients and higher profits. So don’t be afraid of the media… use it to your advantage.
