СVC2-code (Card Validation Code 2) is a three-digit security code on Mastercard bank cards, that provides additional security for CNP (Card Not Present) transactions, in other words, transactions where the card itself is not present but its details are used.

By entering this code, you confirm that it is the cardholder who pays as only he knows this code.

Never give your CVC2 code to third parties (or in the presence of third parties), because, knowing it and other details of your card (such as the name of the cardholder, card number and expiration date of the card), you can pay for services and goods online not having a card in hand.
