Funded by This Project is funded by The European Union Home Support to Preparation of Conference and Report on Implementation of Association Agreement in 2018 On February 2019 in Kyiv the Conference on presentation of the results of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU in 2018 took place. The Conference was organized by the Office of Vice Prime-Minister of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and the Government Office for Coordination on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration with the support of the EU project Association4U. At the conference, the Report on the implementation of tasks foreseen by the Association Agreement has been presented. The Report is aimed to inform citizens, representatives of NGOs and international community regarding the progress that Ukraine made in implementing the objectives of political and economic integration to the EU in the reporting year. These include, but not limited to, free movement of goods, the New Approach compared to Old Approach, conformity assessment, product requirements, accreditation, notification, market surveillance etc. These notions are frequently used in the EU acquis, which Ukraine has committed to implement according to the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement. The Blue Guide 2016 was translated into Ukrainian by translation experts of the “Association4U” Project. On 23 rd November 2018 nine regional journalists - winners of the competition on the best material on the topic of European integration had the chance to discuss professional subjects and gain experience from their German colleague Ingo Petz. He is a freelance journalist who has been working for such newspapers as Süddeutsche Zeitung, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Der Standard. With the expert assistance of highly-qualified trainer Frank Little civil servants of line Ministries and Anti-Monopoly Committee of Ukraine and Junior Fellows of the Association4U project practiced lobbying and mandate negotiations, analyzed parties involved in a conflict and their underlying interests and mastered their skills through practical exercises and role games. The training introduced civil servants and A4U fellows to non-power-play approaches to negotiations and helped them to improve their ability to negotiate ethically and effectively in any situation. International Conference “Improving the Methodology, Practice and Quality of Legislative Process and Legal Drafting” On September 17, 2018, the International Conference “Improving the Methodology, Practice and Quality of Legislative Process and Legal Drafting” initiated and supported by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, EU Delegation and EU funded Projects EU4PAR and Association4U. The topic concerned the effectiveness of the legislative process in Ukraine, methods of its improvement and sharing the experience of some of the EU Member States with the aim to get ideas of dealing with the major issues of Ukraine on its way to the legislative approximation with the European Union in the framework of the Association Agreement.
