Security control

Passengers, departing from the airport “Kharkiv”, must go through aviation security control before entering boarding area.

If you want to go through departure formalities faster and with more comfort, before entering control area, prepare your passport, boarding ticket, remove all metal items from your clothes and be ready to show your electronic devices, such as tablets, cameras, and laptops for separate scanning.

Passengers are not allowed to carry the following items in hand luggage:

• liquids, gels, aerosols in containers of more than 100 ml.
• piercing and cutting objects
• weapons, ammunition, crackers and substances for fireworks
• butane and filling compounds for lighters, bottled gas
• bleaching agents, oxide substances
• toxic substances
• radioactive materials
• wet cell batteries, mercury, acids
• magnetic substances and other dangerous items

Passengers are allowed to carry liquid baby food and medicine in containers of no more than 100 ml. in quantities necessary for consumption during the flight. Other liquids in containers up to 100 ml. need to be placed in a sealable clear plastic bag with volume of no more than 1 liter.

Special information for passengers of Turkish Airlines, who travel to the cities of Great Britain and the USA through Istanbul:

According to special security regulations, passengers of Turkish Airlines, who depart from Istanbul to the cities of Great Britain and the USA, can carry in hand luggage only small electronic devices, mobile telephones, for instance. Tablets, laptops and other large electronic devices must be transported in the baggage. You can use large electronics on flights from Kharkiv to Istanbul. During transit in Istanbul, before boarding the plane to the cities of Great Britain and the USA, you need to hand in large electronic devices to a special employee for them to be placed in a baggage section of an airplane.
