View project Population Maps Visicom Population Map is an important data layer we can provide additionally to our usual geodata sets for RF-planning (DTM, DEM, LandUse, Vector). Population Map or Population Distribution Model can be delivered in resolution from 2 to 50 m and be fully compliant with the resolution of your project – City, Urban or Regional planning. Visicom Population Maps are delivered as: density raster map per administrative division or per each cell of raster map vector map with two attributes for each administrative unit: density (number of people per km2) and population inside polygons – city, municipality, region, state etc. vector map with quantity of population per each household in cities Population Maps are based on precise and up-to-date clutter classification of 2-5 m resolution for cities and 10-20 m for other areas, administrative division and census data. Building heights were captured from 0.3 m resolution stereo images, providing the geometry and precise roof. Send us your request for more information Read more 05 July 2018 PAPUA NEW GUINEA (PNG) POPULATION MAP PROJECT The Population Distribution Model of Papua New Guinea (PNG) covers whole country - 462 840 km2 As sources for population map production were used: Visicom clutter model (calculated on base of accurate vector layers derived from high and middle resolution satellite imagery and the results of Sentinel/Landsat satellite images classification); Population data figures such as Official Census data for Papua admin divisions, projection figures and population growth coefficients (provided by the National Statistics Office of Papua New Guinea); Boundaries of administrative units with associated population figures (namely, for admin level 4 - Local-Level Government (LLG)/Ward – 297); Visicom population map methodology for model calculation. Papua population map produced for use in RF planning demand as raster matrix in the GeoTIFF and .GRD formats. The dataset could be presented as vector map with assigned population quantity and density per city blocks.
