League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine

On June 19, 2018, the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine held a meeting of the LIOU Presidium.

On June 19, 2018, a forum “Cyber Security – Protecting Your Business” was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine on the initiative of the Committee on Electronic Communications at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine. One of the key elements of cybersecurity is raising public awareness of existing and potential threats.

On June 14, 2018, the official working meeting of the German (GDV) and Austrian (VVO) associations of insurers and the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine took place, where agreements were reached on further directions of cooperation.

June 5, 2018 Kyiv City State Administration with CCI of Ukraine and Kyiv CCI held cooperation session and exhibition-presentation of industrial products “Made in Kiev.”

May 21, 2018 in the Ministry of Agrarian Policy with the participation of Olena Kovaleva, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine; Bagrat Ahidzhanov, Director of the Department of Financial and Credit Policy of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy; Alexander Zaletov, Member of the National Financial Services Commission, and Oleksandr Filonyuk, President of the LIOU, met to discuss issues in the field of agrarian insurance.

The volume of net insurance premiums collected by Ukrainian risk insurance companies in 2018 will amount to UAH 27.6 billion, which is 7.8% more than in 2017 (UAH 25.6 billion), such a realistic scenario forecast was made by specialists of the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine (LIOU), based on the developed methodology of connection of payments with macroeconomic indicators.

Discussion of the actual problems and prospects of the insurance market took place on February 14-17, 2018 in the framework of the XIV INTERNATIONAL CARPATHIAN INSURANCE CONFERENCE with the participation of representatives of state authorities, insurance companies, reinsurers, brokers, investment and legal companies, experts in the field of economics and finance, domestic and international experts, the media.

On February 16, 2018, the XIV International Carpathian Insurance Conference, held in Yaremche, continued its work.

On February 15, 2018, the XIV International Carpathian Insurance Conference, organized by the Center for Business Strategies “Perspective” and the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine, began its work in Yaremche.

On January 24, 2018, the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine held a meeting of the LIOU Committee on Health Insurance.

On January 23, 2018, the Project “Development of Financing Agrarian Sector in Europe and Central Asia”, carried out by the International Finance Corporation (IFC, World Bank Group), held a seminar: «Strategies for successful marketing and distribution in insurance. Best approaches and tools in advancing insurance programs».

On January 22, 2018, the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine held a meeting of the LIOU Committee on Insurance in the field of tourism.

On February 14-17, 2018, XIV International Carpathian Insurance Conference will take place which usually involves experts from 10-12 countries. Organizers: Business Strategy Center “Perspektiva” and the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine.

Address of the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine with a proposal to launch a professional holiday Day of Insurance in Ukraine sent for consideration to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the National Commission for state regulation of financial services markets. This was informed in a letter to LIOU from First Deputy Head of Presidential Administration of Ukraine V.Kovalchuk.

The National Commission for State Regulation of Financial Services Markets (National commission), reviewed the letters of the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the draft Medium term plan priorities for government action until 2020. Proposals submitted by LIOU supports National commission and considers appropriate – said in a letter of National commission to League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine.
