The results of scientific research conducted within the framework of the doctoral thesis "Forensic psychiatric evaluation of persons who have committed sexual criminal offences." For the purpose of the study, the author analyzed 279 cases of forensic psychiatric examinations of persons who committed the sexual offence and were at the forensic psychiatric examination in Kiev Center for Forensic Psychiatric Examination during 2001-2015 (15 years). To determine the relationship between the degree of opportunities to realize their actions/manage them and expert's conclusion, from the group of compos mentis was derived a group of partially compos mentis patients; it was formed artificially, based on the national concept of "limited sanity". As a result, we have identified socio-demographical and clinical criteria for "limited compos mentis" in forensic psychiatric examinations of persons who have committed sexual offences. Adjustment disorder (AD) is one of the most common mental disorders. Considering the social and economic situation in Ukraine at present, in almost 50% of the population, there are non-psychotic mental health disorders, and this number tends to increase. Individual risk factors that are particularly important for the AD development include the experience of a significant stress in childhood, problems with mental health in the past, difficult life circumstances, etc. At the same time, pathogenetically approaches to AD therapy are not fully understood. Pathogenetically oriented therapy of AD should be based on neurotransmitter causes and systemic therapeutic approach. The following paper underlines the specific characteristics and the course of Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in Ukrainian warriors of ATO. It is based on interviews recorded with 163 combatants using the methods of clinical psychology and psychodynamic methods. All the records of the interviews were reflected upon in supervision groups. The data obtained support the hypothesis that the cultural and historical heritage of the people of Ukraine has a determinative pathoplastic effect on the experience of war trauma. The analysis of this data leads to the conclusion about the need to create a favorable system of rehabilitation for veterans that would allow working more successfully with the war trauma. In early 2014 resulted by the outbreak of conflict in eastern Ukraine 823,000 people became internally displaced, according to the Ukrainian State Emergency Service. All of the above requires a new assessment of the state of people in a situation of chronic stress and distress taking into account their mentality, psychological amortization properties and social situation. We need systematic training of specialists in the field of acute stress and PTSD, with following consistent professional development. It is necessary to develop a national protocol for PTSD management and to implement an appropriate modernization of the Ukrainian health care system.
