For us, social corporate responsibility is a way to such participation. By our example, we are willing to encourage others not to stand aside, not only to take from society, but also to give it something to respond to its needs, to make this world better. We believe that by setting ourselves high professional and ethical standards and acting responsibly in dealings with our clients, staff and the wider community, we strengthen Arzinger’s reputation of a leading law firm, a better employer and a socially responsible business. WE HAVE IDENTIFIED FOUR AREAS OF OUR SCR ACTIVITIES Healthy Lifestyle We care about the health of our staff and the environment. Our employees are active participants in sporting events and marathons and thus promote healthy lifestyles and the culture of running. In addition, every year we reduce paper and disposable tableware consumption in the company. Education In our view, one of the most important tools to improve legal education is to educate future generations through cooperation between experienced legal practitioners and specialized higher educational establishments. Over the last couple of years our Partners gave lectures on different areas of law to students at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University and Lviv National Ivan Franko University within the framework of the Arzinger Academy Project (established in September 2010), at summer law schools and as part of training courses conducted by the Students’ League of the Ukrainian Bar Association and thus prepared young professionals to practical work awaiting them after graduation. Pro Bono We provide professional services for the public good voluntarily and free of charge, especially to those who cannot afford them. Lawyers of Arzinger are involved in the work on pro bono projects for protection of violated civil rights and freedoms of individuals. Based on high ethical standards and dedication to community work Arzinger has established a practice for representation of individuals before European Court of Human Rights that works pro bono only. Also, our company has been supporting the specialized magazine “Yuridychna Gazeta” for many years, as media play an important part in the life of the legal community, not only as a source of information, but also as another tool to develop the legal market. Society This global block of our responsibility includes various aspects of social life, ranging from art ( ARTzinger project ) to targeted aid for orphanages or combating diseases directly or indirectly through cooperation with charitable foundations (" Tabletochky" ), helping our enlisted employees and other ATO combatants.
