Asmik Shiroyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia on April 20th, 1993. After the turmoil of a revolution and the aftermath of a powerful earthquake, her family moved to Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine, where they have lived since 1998.
Asmik was born into driven a driven and intelligent family, famous for excellence in both music and fine jewelry. Her mother Zhanna Shiroyan (Minasyan) was educated as an engineer, but now works with her husband and Asmik’s father Arthur Shiroyan, who was educated as an artist and currently runs the family jewelry business.
Her uncle Araik is known for turning the surname Shiroyan into a jewelry brand, which is famous in Armenia. Another uncle, Jeorje, is a jazz musician. Her sister Angelika is a translator who loves to write poetry, which has frequently been locally published. Asmik credits her family with setting the stage for her future success.

In 2014 Asmik had her first big break, when she was introduced to the world as a contestant on the Ukrainian edition of The Voice, singing Czeslaw Niemen’s famous song “Dziwny jest ten świat” (Strange Is This World) in the original Polish. Millions of views on YouTube in just one week gave Asmik wide popularity in Ukraine, Poland and Armenia.
She then became a special guest of the prestigious Fryderyk awards in Warsaw (the Polish version of the Grammy awards). In 2015 she was a guest at the Czeslaw Non-Stop fest in Slupsk.
That spring, Asmik perfomed as a guest with the RadioBand jazz orchestra of Alex Fokin and worked with such artists as Eric Marienthal, James Hovorka, and Yoel Del Sol (Yanni).
In 2018 released “You & I” written by global award song writers Marli, Harwood , Neil Ormandy and Haj, on debut the song went to No.1 ITunes top selling single in Armenia.
Asmik’s other passion is charity. One of her recent activities was a concert named Music Can Change the World, which was aimed at raising funds for a young boy fighting cancer.
