NGO Mariupol Development Fund is a public organization, uniting representatives of industrial companies, small and medium businesses, public organizations and civil activists aiming at implementing the perspective ideas and projects that are able to improve the quality of life and well-being of citizens. The main task of the NGO Mariupol Development Fund is the creation of a long-term strategy of infrastructural development city. The Fund is a platform for constructive dialogue between small and medium businesses, potential investors, grant organizations, local authorities aiming to create favorable conditions for the development of the business environment and realization of investment and innovative projects. Committees Committees are collegial bodies, consisting of civil activists, representatives of non-governmental organizations, small and medium business, and representatives of the municipality. The main goal of committees is promotion of initiatives and analysis of promising projects. Five field-oriented committees work on the platform of NGO Mariupol Development Fund. These committees form a common bank of ideas (a “suggestion box”), projects and programs of strategic plan for the development of Mariupol. Committee for Social Policy, Medicine and Environment Committee for Social Policy, Medicine and Environment Key function of the committee is the analysis of promising projects providing social adaptation of IDPs, maternal health, protection of children`s rights and interests, improvement and availability of quality health services, participation in the development of environmental programs, assistance in the energy audit and implementation of energy saving measures. The tasks of the committee are to promote initiatives for assistance of IDPs, to broaden the availability of social and health services, to open the Children's Medical Center, to create a space for leisure and development of children, to provide population with high-quality drinking water, to implement the advanced technologies for separate collection and recycling of solid and liquid waste, to create conditions for implementation of activities for improvement of Mariupol environment. The task of the committee is to initiate the strategies development aimed at developing the active lifestyle, facilitating of friendly public spaces, conducting of cultural festivals and creative contests for popularization of Ukrainian cultural heritage, cultural developing of national societies, mobilizing of resources for support and implementation of youth initiatives. The main purpose is to create conditions for development of the vigorous competitive environment in the field of housing and public utilities, for implementation of energy-efficient measures, for design of curtilage and development of the «small ecology» projects. Assistance in development of the investment road map of the city, cooperation with investors and non-profit foundations that provide grants, creating of conditions for realization of potential small and medium business, opening of new production facilities, job creation, employment rehabilitation, formation of enabling environment for development of the middle class in Mariupol – are also key tasks of the Committee.
