At the time of the project realization the task set was hard to implement – even the authors of the project allowed for 2D-products with fractures in the form. ELIO successfully made horizontal radius 3D-elements of the atrium enclosure with the complex conjugacy in the veneered walnut root, ceiling finishing, lift lobbies. The exterior details were treated with a special compound, resistant to different atmospheric effects. For the first time in the ELIO’s practice, the finish panels were made under the brick walls and columns that were more than 200 years old. A very complicated combination of wood, veneer, glass, stone, fire, and metal made ELIO team to use all our knowledge under demanding deadlines. The scope of work included more than 200 boutiques located on 3 floors, as well as atriums’ enclosures, glass constructions, columns, and their conjugations. Installation of the upper atrium enclosure was done by high-rise construction workers within a month. While working, we suggested several important solutions as to how to enclose fire extinguishing and smoke removal lines, which unfavorably divided the interior. Particularly challenging were the points of contiguity of atrium enclosures with the glass elevators and escalators. MATERIALS: glass, wood, lacquer panels. Term – 3,5 month. For the congress-hall interior, ELIO chose decorative panels with oak veneer, fire doors with anti-panic system, decorative trim of the acoustic ceilings. TASK: the main requirement was to make an exact replica of the original interior of the existing project, created in France. In that apartment the following zones were organized: a large kitchen with an island, a spiral staircase, a separate laundry room. PRODUCED: the doors, bedside tables, pedestals for TV with milled glass windows on the facade, dressing table with elegant carved legs, mirrors, portals and panels on the walls with oval baguette, concealing various service lines.
