Read more... 12 new projects will promote European Studies in Ukraine under EU-funded ERASMUS+ Programme: Jean Monnet Actions from 2017 Friday, 28 July 2017 News Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) announced the selection results of the Call 2017 for the Jean Monnet Activities under European Union ERASMUS+ Programme for Jean Monnet Actions in European Studies. 138 projects have been selected from Programme Countries and 90 from Partner Countries, among which 10 Ukrainian universities and an NGO from Ukraine are proposed for EU co-funding within Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Actions 2017 (total projects' budget is about Euro 400,000). The projects are for 8 Jean Monnet Modules on governance, quality assurance, economy, law, policy, culture: Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, National Technical University of Ukraine Igor Sikorsky «Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» , State Higher Educational Establishment Zaporizhzhya National University of the Ministry of Education and Sciences of Ukraine, National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University, National Pedagogical Dragomanov Unviersity, National University «Ostroh Academy», V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University; to create 3 Jean Monnet Chairs in the area of policy, security, law and culture: National University of Food Technologies, National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (2); 1 project is for Support to Associations on European Quality of Educational Research: Ukrainian Educational Research Association. In the context of four Erasmus+ Calls for Proposals published between 2014 and 2017 in total 410 proposals were submitted by Ukrainian organizations, out of which 41 Jean Monnet projects were selected for funding. Those projects include 31 Modules, 4 Chair, 2 Projects and 4 Support for Associations projects, implemented in the field of European Studies by 24 Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions and 6 NGOs. Joint Pre-departure Orientation Meeting for Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus (7-8.07.2017, Kyiv) Wednesday, 19 July 2017 News n July 7-8, Pre-Departure Orientation meeting traditionally took place in Kyiv, Ukraine in the premises of the EU Delegation to Ukraine. 30 newly brand newly selected master students from Ukraine/ Moldova/ Belarus and 5 alumni actively participated in its orientation program. How to Apply and Manage International Credit Mobility Projects - Ukrainian and Polish experience (27.06.2017 Kyiv) Thursday, 29 June 2017 News On June 27, 2017 the training workshop on preparation and implementation of the International Credit Mobility Projects within the framework of the EU-funded Programme ERASMUS + KA1: International Credit Mobility was held in the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”. The organizers of the training were: National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, National Erasmus+ Agency of Republic of Poland, jointly with Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” with support of EU Delegation to Ukraine. The opportunities and rules for the participation of Ukrainian higher education institutions in the calls for proposals for ICM, tips on how to write a successful project proposal, as well as the experience of implementing international credit mobility projects in Polish and Ukrainian universities were presented during the workshop. Svitlana Shytikova (Director, National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine), Lyubov Shchitka (Deputy Head of Department – Head of Division on International Education Programmes, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine) and Sergiy Sydorenko (Vice-rector for research and education (foreign affairs), National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”) welcomed the participants and highlighted key directions for cooperation. Various aspects of international credit mobility oportunities and selection rules were described in presentations of Ivanna Atamanchuk (Manager, National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine) and Beata Skibinska (Deputy Head of the Higher Education Department, Foundation for the Development of the Education System of the National Agency for the Erasmus+ Programme in Poland). Issues of Polish case of implementation International Credit Mobility were considered during the speeches of Anna Opałka (the Erasmus Coordinator at the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa, Poland), Olga Vakhrina and Marta Lipińska (Departament of Life Long Learning and International Cooperation, Poznan University of Technology, Poland). Explanations of key documents and practical handbooks for International Credit Mobility Actions were provided by Beata Skibinska and Svitlana Shytikova. Svitlana Bilous (Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv), Oksana Kraevska (Ivan Franko Lviv National University, Erasmus+ coordinator) and Tetiana Kuchynska (Igor Sikorsky KPI) shared the Ukrainian practical experience in managing International Credit Mobility Projects. The event was attended by 108 participants (Erasmus+ contacts, representatives of international relations / mobility offices, university staff and students) who represented 57 higher education institutions from 20 cities of Ukraine. Sichovykh Striltsiv str., 52D, Kyiv city Contacts : Oksana Zabolotna, 0669560117, 0936483166, oxana.zabolotna@gmail.com 37 Ukrainian students to study at Masters and doctoral level in the EU Universities with the support of EU's Erasmus+ Programme Tuesday, 09 May 2017 News The Call for Erasmus+ Learning Degree Mobility has been completed and award decision on granting scholarships and fellowships for Joint Master Courses and Joint Doctorates has been taken. 1345 Erasmus Mundus students from all over the world are selected for funding with the support of Erasmus+ Programme. 36 out of them will come from Ukraine (amongst them – 12 women) representing Dnipro, Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih Lviv, Mariupol, Ostroh and Kharkiv cities. Joint doctorate programme will enroll one Ukrainian researcher. His first country of destination for research is Denmark. The students are to study Erasmus Mundus Joint Degrees in prestigious universities of Austria, Belgium, the UK, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Hungary, France and Sweden. Following the rules of Erasmus+, master and doctoral students will study at minimum two European universities. In addition to their main curricula, students will be enrolled in language courses, learn about the countries of their stay, discover and enjoy their culture. All the costs of accommodation and studies will be covered by Erasmus+. 115 students have been already studying at Erasmus Mundus Joint Programmes since 2014, including 102 Master and 13 PhD students. Rector of the host University Leonid V. Hubersky and Executive Director of the International Renaissance Foundation Yevhen Bystrytsky also made greetings to the participants. Eastern Partnership Youth Forum (22-23.06.2017 - Warsaw, Poland) - registration is open Friday, 24 March 2017 News 22-23 June 2017 , the European Commission together with the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Poland will organise the 3rd Eastern Partnership Youth Forum. The event will take place in Warsaw (Poland), as one of the high profile side events to the 5th Eastern Partnership Summit scheduled for November 2017 in Brussels. The Forum will gather around 300 participants - young people, youth workers, youth organisations, NGOs, educational institutions, youth policy makers, along with business and research representatives - from both Eastern Partnership and Erasmus+ countries. The main topic for discussion and exchange is participation and active citizenship of young people and their involvement in the decision making process.
