Revelations of Yanukovych
Fugitive ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has not been seen in public for quite a while. No wonder his latest interview with the BBC’s Newsnight program caused such a stir. But this sighting seems to be interesting not due to the stories about the Mezhihirya residency with its private zoo and the touching concern of the ousted leader for its ostriches (we all remember his shoes made of ostrich leather). It’s also not due to the repetition of Russian propaganda about the “Kyiv junta”, Western radicals and support of the “coup” from Europe and the United States. Much more attention must be paid to some other words of the fugitive ex-president.
