All ideas had to be sent in the form of video pitches. Participation in U4Ua helped contestants: Test the viability of their ideas. Create a team to put the idea into practice. Win over other participants, social network users and mentors and, upon reaching the final stage, presenting their ideas before a grand jury comprised of investors and philanthropists.
