New ratings, the same level of stability

UkrSibbank BNP Paribas Group and Fitch Ratings agreed to terminate cooperation, which is followed by rating withdrawal.


Following the standard business practice in Ukraine, UkrSibbank considers as sufficient having only the Ukrainian rating agency’s rating assigned, which is usual practice for the majority of Ukrainian banks, including foreign owned ones.


It should be noted that UkrSibbank’s ratings, as part of one of the biggest international financial groups, are limited by Ukraine’s sovereign credit rating, so called country ceiling. At the same time, the country ceiling reflects high risks due to economic and political situation in Ukraine.

At the same time, according to classification of Ukrainian rating agency “Expert-Rating”, UkrSibbank has the highest credit rating uaÀÀÀ with stable outlook, which confirms the highest level of credibility in comparison with other Ukrainian borrowers and/or debt instruments.


Additionally, the main shareholder of UkrSibbank – BNP Paribas – has the highest ratings among all foreign financial market players represented in Ukrainian banking sector.
