Design Section of UTEM-ENGINEERING is fitted out with modern systems for engineering calculations, 3D design, accumulation, storage and transmission of data, specialized copying and printing equipment. The Section comprises: Integrated Design Group Operations Engineering Group Detailed Design Group Together with other departments of UTEM-ENGINEERING, partners and subcontractors the Design Section carries out: Investment feasibility studies Project design and adaptation Detailed design Preparation of construction documentation Elaboration of construction management plans, work method statements, flowcharts for installation and welding of equipment Commissioning Section of UTEM-ENGINEERING performs: Development of methods and programmes for necessary post-installation tests of thermal and mechanical equipment including individual, functional and integrated tests Pre-commissioning operations, including flushing, blowing and chemical treatment of piping systems and equipment Fitting of stop, control valves and safety devices Technical management during the setting-up of instrumentation equipment and process control systems Trial start-ups of process equipment after the installation Training of operating personnel Process environmental tests and compilation of performance parameter charts of fuel-using equipment The personnel of the department are actively involved in the construction of projects at the very early stage of installation of process equipment, carrying out the analysis of design documents, inspection for cleanliness and acceptance of internal surfaces of equipment and piping, preparation of measures and drawings for protection of mechanical equipment during the flushing of process systems, supervision of piping support and hangers installation, marking of locations for medium parameter instruments. Performance of these activities ensures proper operation and safety of equipment during commissioning and operation of facilities. Using the accumulated experience and having available modern instrumentation pool, the personnel of UTEM-ENGINEERING perform energy audit of operating industrial facilities and produce real recommendations for reducing energy consumption, replacement of ineffective equipment, carry out payback analysis and studies of investment feasibility.
