Motivated by our faith in Jesus Christ we share the good news of God with young people. STRATEGIC FOCUS YFC strategic focus Youth for Christ reaches young people everywhere, working together with the local church and other like-minded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to the Word of God and prayer, passion for sharing the love of Christ and commitment to social involvement. YFC VISION YFC vision As part of the body of Christ, to see that every young person in every people group in every nation has the opportunity to make an informed decision to be a follower of Jesus Christ and become a part of a local church. How we help churches In children, teenagers and youth ministry We motivate churches to start and develop youth ministry We are constantly looking for new ideas for youth ministry or create them focusing on evangelism and discipleship. We encourage churches and church leaders to see the needs of young people and to work with children, adolescents and young people using effective methods based on Biblical principles. We train church leaders Realizing that effective ministry is being done by committed faithful and devoted ministers, we long to help youth ministers to grow in leadership skills and correct principles of team work. To do this, we organize training conferences, leadership schools and other projects of the kind. We invite leadership teams of different types of youth ministry to learn more about leadership and teamwork. We help churches develop effective evangelization skills Evangelism is an important priority in youth ministry since many young people need Jesus and one of the main tasks of the Church is to bring the Good News to the unsaved. A team of YFC specialists offers various methods of introducing Jesus to young generation: Christian teen & youth clubs, day care centers for children from disadvantaged backgrounds, different kinds of camps and many others. We support and encourage youth ministers One of the problems of many modern ministries is its short term because its leaders are easily “burnt out”. To prevent that our task is to support the ministers, to pray for them, to encourage them in as many ways as we can. We use assorted methods to abet them to serve long term ministry: inspiration, financial/physical assistance, visits, promotion of their ministry on yfc website, forums, personal meetings, correspondence etc. We equip with resources YFC regularly updates database of the best resources for different types of ministries and provides churches with it. It is important to equip leaders with quality materials and ideas so that youth ministers would not only know HOW to carry on the ministry, but also WHAT to fill it with.
