In 2011, I won first place in the Silverlight category of Windows Phone Champion, the Windows Phone 7 competition for game developers. In the final, I presented an alternative to RPG-action games: a Japanese puzzle game called Masyu. For the last six years, I have been developing web applications. Besides work, I am involved local civic activities in Lviv and am interested in mobile applications and a IoT. One of the most popular cross-platform development tools is Xamarin. In this presentation, I will talk about different use cases for this tool and the pros and cons of different approaches to using the common code. I will also make a small overview of the most interesting plug-ins and show how to debug of applications using Inspector. 12:00 – 12:45 Igor Leontiev “DevOps helps us build and release” In my report, I will discuss building the development process in a mixed team working in a startup environment, taking into account regular releases of dependent projects based on Team Foundation Server. I’m also going to show Release Management configuration stages and the process of monitoring the "state of health" for the end products. CUI (Conversational User Interface) is becoming more popular than applications and web services because now you can order a pizza or a taxi by chatting with bots in your favorite messenger. In this presentation, I will show you how to use BotFramework (a new framework from Microsoft for writing bots in C#) and implement bots in messengers. I will also show you LUIS and Azure Cognitive Services – a service that helps you recognize arbitrary messages from users, determine the intentions based on the message and detect the valuable information from it. 16:45 – 17:00 Coffe break 17:00 – 17:45 Vladimir Bronnikov “Xamarin OCR: Recognizing Receipts” Today’s state of technology allows for the automatic recognition of text using OCR technologies.
