Bionics – is a science, studying principles of structure and functioning of living systems to solve complex engineering problems. “Hill” in English means a place in the highlands. In the other words, BIONIC Hill is being created as the most favorable area for hi-tech business in Ukraine. This is a territory with the best conditions for realization of the innovative projects. We do believe in Ukraine, its people and a huge potential of the high-tech industry. BIONIC Hill (Kyiv) is being created by a model that involves close integration of education (IT university), scientific investigations (R&D) and environmentally friendly high-tech manufacturing. Feasibility analysis of BIONIC Hill (Kyiv) has been made by a well-known international company Ernst&Young. To work on the park concept leading international and Ukrainian architects, engineers and designers were involved, in particular, TAM Pashenko, Hornberger+Worstell, ARUP and SWA Group. Geography of their projects covers the USA, Great Britain, France, China etc. The international experts took part in development of numerous significant projects in the Silicon Valley (the USA). The heart of the project is the first in Ukraine open intercorporate IT-University BIONIC University . It is open from 2012 at the oldest university of the country, the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” , and subsequently will move on the territory of the innovation park in its own building. Creation space for innovations, business and comfortable lifestyle in Ukraine will allow accelerating modernization of the national economy and making talented specialists stay in Ukraine. According to Ernst&Young’s assessment, BIONIC Hill will provide 35 000 workplaces (first of all for young people) and annual tax revenues of $160 million. The project is being developed on the initiative of the leading Ukrainian developer – UDP company , which is to invest in it about $1 billion.
