Cargo insurance
Every cargo carriage is at risk of loss of property through damage or loss of cargo. Companies often risk not only money, but also reputation of a reliable business partner. Insurance is the most efficient tool of financial protection of the company and performance guarantee for your counteragents in any cases.
Allianz Ukraine offers insurance of both one-time and regular carriage. In addition to the cost of cargo, insurance coverage may extend to all documented expenses required for carriage (custom duty, charter costs, armed escort, obtainment of required permits etc.).
Based on your company's needs and budget, an insurance policy may be signed on terms as follows:
1. All risks - fullest coverage
2. Limited Liability
Under this policy, you will be indemnified for full loss or damage of cargo caused by:
- Fire or explosion;
- Stranding, vessel sinking or capsizing;
- Tipping over or running off the track of surface vehicles;
- Collision or contact of a vehicle with any external object;
- Discharging cargo at a port where an accident happened;
- Earthquake, volcano eruption or thunderbolt;
- Cargo wash overboard or jettison;
- Penetration of sea, lake or river water;
- Full loss of a complete package of goods at the time of loading/unloading;
- Overall crash.
3. Minimal coverage
Under this policy, you will be indemnified for full loss or damage of cargo caused by:
- Fire or explosion;
- Stranding, vessel sinking or capsizing;
- Tipping over or running off the track of surface vehicles;
- Collision or contact of a vehicle with any external object;
- Discharging cargo at a port where an accident happened;
- Jettison;
- General average.
4. Minimal coverage + theft
In addition to risks covered by Minimal coverage, we indemnify you for loss caused by burglary.
If so required, additional risks may be included in your insurance coverage.
- War and strike risks (for sea and air transportation).
- Refrigerator breakage risk (for cargo requiring strict adherence to temperature conditions in the course of transportation).
- Risk of cargo loss and damage at the time of loading/unloading.
- Risks associated with safekeeping at intermediate depots in the course of transportation.
