Its floor has to be hard-wearing. Children play, slide around, run, fall and rest on the floor. For this childish diversity, a natural product such as timber parquet is exactly the right choice. Apart from its gentle warmth, solid parquet absorbs some of the noise. Your neighbours will be grateful. Just ask us! A Good Idea for our Environment A Good Idea for our Environment We agree and only use timber from sustainably cultivated forests. Not only does the forest benefit from an FSC (Forest Stewardship Council*) certification, but also companies that realise the importance of responsible forest management. A certified company can use the FSC logo and thus point the way to the future. The Forest Stewardship Council is an international non-profit organisation handling the certification of sustainable forestry. Parquet and Allergies In the long run, parquet floors can have an impact on allergy sufferers. A study of the German Allergy and Asthma Association (DAAB) found out that the average concentration of particulate matter is twice as high in interior spaces with hard floors than with carpet floors. On parquet, layers of dust occur quickly that have to be removed with vacuum cleaner and floorcloth. For example, it has to be considered whether or not to install parquet in children’s rooms. Therefore, please consult our experts before purchase on which type of parquet meets your needs best. About us The VL Holz International GmbH produces and sells parquet flooring of European quality.
