Electrical Engineering Department The Electrical Engineering Branch established in 1957, offers Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree and has an annual intake of 60 students. Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering Department Established in 1983, it is the only department in a state government funded college to offer a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering with annual intake of 30 students. Computer Science and Engineering Department The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established on August 25, 1998 offers Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.). The duration of B.E. is 4 years having 8 semesters. Chemical Engineering Department The Chemical Engineering Department was started in 1963 and had an annual intake capacity of 30 students in B. E. degree which has now been increased to 60 this year (2007 batch onwards). This is the only department in the whole of North-east India offering an under-graduate course in chemical engineering. Industrial and Production Engineering Department The branch of Industrial and Production Engineering was newly introduced in 1998 offers B.E. degree course.
