ZIK IA was set up in the summer of 2004, becoming the first information agency in Western Ukraine. Today, it belongs to the top 15 electronic information agencies. ZIK IA gives wide and impartial coverage of the developments in Western Ukraine. Its daily site indicators, according to bigmir.net, i.ua, amount to 150,000 – 200,000 hosts and 800,000 – 1 million hits. ZIK TV channel first went on the air on Sept. 1, 2010. Then, we broadcast 6 programs. Now, their number has risen to 20. Most of them are investigating programs. As of May 2014, ZIK broadcasts its television programs not only from its Lviv studio, but also from its new studio in Kyiv The most popular programs include the «Playing Classics » intellectual and political program, « Historical Truth with David Kipiani » historical journal, « Brother for Brother » social research program, « Mayor’s Office Secrets » investigative program, « Straight Talk » and « Drozdov » talk shows, « Rada 8.0 »political program on Rada politics, « Look at Yourself » cultural program, « Day’s Review » and « Week’s Events » news programs. According to the GFK Ukraine, the country’s largest marketing and social research company, ZIK TV programs successfully compete with central television programs for the size of its audience. ZIK TV broadcasting by the country’s leading cable providers Volya-Kabel, Triolan and Lanet covers 100% of the Ukrainian territory. In total, our programs are broadcast by over 80 cable television operators, with ZIK TV included in basic social packages. As of July 2013, ZIK TV has been included in all packages of the country’s largest satellite TV providers Viasat and X-tra TV. ZIK TV is also available in the Internet TV providers IPTV and OTT networks. ZIK TV is accessible in on-line broadcasts of over 50 Internet outlets. All over Ukraine, our programs are available via the AMOS-2 4W satellite at 11 609.75 MgH. AWARDS 2011 « Consumers’ Complaints and Proposals » investigative program and « Who’s Living Here? » became winners in the Honor of Profession national contest. 2012 « PRAVOkatsia » exposing program became winner in the Honor of Profession national contest for the best high-profile material. 2013 The « Day’s Review » was winner in the contest run by the USAID via the Internews network for the best honest news bulletin and was awarded a citation for the best coverage from Telekrytyka NGO, Ukraine’s media watchdog. « Historical Truth with Vakhtang Kipiani » program became winner of the national Teletriumph-2013 award for the best anchor. 2014 In January, ZIK TV and ZIK IA were included in the list of ‘white’ media – for active and impartial coverage of the developments during the Maidan revolution. Denis Bigus, head and anchor of the anti-corruption «Our Money» program became winner of the national «Honor of Profession – 2014» contest for the ‘Best Journalistic Investigation’ for his program « Mezhyhirya-2. Ivaniushchenko’s Versailles .» «Day’s Review» news program became winner in the ‘Most Honest News’ nomination according to the monitoring of regional channels by the Telekrytyka media watchdog. 2015 Aklisa Yurchenko, ‘Our Money’ anti-corruption program journalist, became winner in the ‘Honor of Profession – 2015’ contest for the best investigating program. « Our Money » program journalist Nadiya Burdej took the 4 th place in the contest ‘Controlling Tobacco Production: lifting the smokescreen’ for her program ‘Ukrainians pay for cigarettes made by Russia’s arms lord.’ ZIK TV journalist Vita Dolyk became winner of the 4 th national contest ‘Reporters of Hope in Ukraine – 2015.’ Her program ‘Secrets of Army Supplies’ won in the nomination ‘Public Society.’ Denis Bigus, anchor in the anti-corruption ‘Our Money’ program won a citation from the Global Shining Light Award-2015 organized by Global Network of Investigating Journalists for his role in the YanukovychLeaks project. Day’s Review’ journalist Natalya Pyrtyk became winner in the program ‘Association with EU: what are the benefits for Ukraine? ’ organized by Internews – Ukrayina, Lev Society, International Solidarity Fund (Poland).
