The Motion Graphics Designer supports the TV production team and works closely with producers to create visual concepts for promos, daily news broadcast graphics, video packages and other elements for TV, web and mobile platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops the overall look and feel of the promo production, graphic teases, video promos and the presentation of social media.

• Works with producers to visualize and create graphic elements for video packages.

• Looks ahead on the calendar and presents ideas for discussion at the daily editorial meeting.

• Uses digital illustration, photo-editing software to create design and Vizrt software for data visualization.

• Works closely with producers to ensure video promos and graphics are ready for daily air.

• Stays on top of news and events in the region.

• Performs related duties as needed. May act as substitute for other comparable roles, e.g. video editing.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Undergraduate BA degree or certificate in Fine Arts or Design but not required if candidate possesses the equivalent in experience.

Work Experience:

• Around 4 years of experience working as a motion graphics designer

Competencies:

• Experience using a real-time render for broadcast graphics creation.

• Must be familiar with 2D and 3D graphic design packages such as Maya, Cinema 4D, Photoshop, InDesign and After Effects to create multimedia designs and graphic concepts in liaison with animators/motion graphics specialists, programmers, writers, multimedia specialists and video editors.

• Ability to edit with Adobe Premiere software.

• Ability to operate a DSLR camera for still and video recording to create promos and show elements.

• Ability to stay on top of the news and events in the region.

• Creative ability to enterprise and innovate.

• A proactive, can-do attitude, with excellent interpersonal skills are also needed to build positive relationships.

• Must be organized and communicate clearly and directly.

• Ability and to deliver product under short deadlines.

• Flexibility to change work flow and operational plan as news and deadlines dictate

Languages:

• Proficiency in English

• Russian as a first language
