The Swiss company, which Bayer acquired in 2005, introduced Beflavin Roche (vitamin B1 and B2) and Benerva (vitamin B1) in the 1930’s. By the end of the decade, vitamin products became the mainstay of the company. Supplementing with water-soluble B vitamins has beneficial health effects. B vitamins cannot be stored in the body over longer periods of time. Therefore the body needs to be constantly supplied with sufficient amounts of these vitamins.
