As huge women’s basketball fans, they decided to stay in Atlanta on October 17, 2007 after hearing there would be a WNBA team in the city. They made their home in downtown Atlanta and watched the team prepare for its inaugural season. Their family was complete when Star hatched on May 1, 2008 at Zoo Atlanta! When Star’s parents realized that Star had inherited their love of basketball, they encouraged Star to try out to be the mascot for their hometown’s new team. Recognizing Star’s passion for the sport, the Dream brought Star on to the team just in time for the Inaugural Season Home Opener on May 23, 2008. You can find Star throughout the community and having fun with fans! Star’s favorite place to be is at Atlanta Dream home games at Philips Arena! Star loves cheering on the team, inspiring future WNBA players, interacting with the crowd and sharing the Dream with the city! With his hilarious antics and charm, Star is known for creating fun wherever he is! Now you can have him attend YOUR event!
