major path-way. Puja has various forms and idols. In this Shakthi araadhana
is considered to give relief from all dosham prevalent in the chart. As per
shaastra, the period of Winter solstice i.e. Dakshinaayanam movements of Sun
from Karka Raashi to Dhanu Raashi is considered very auspicious for doing
Devi Upasana. Becuase, this being the evening time for Deva Loka the puja
done to Devi during this period will fetch excellent results in our life.
Sharad Navaratri falls during the time when Sun traverses through Kanya Raashi and this is the Time between 8 PM to 10 PM of our Earth Time, approximately. Therefore, doing puja to Devi in the evening time at the junction period of Night time is very auspicious and relief the native of many dosham in the chart. Jyotish Shastra have mentioned various dosham which are very prevalent in the chart. They are : Mangal Dosham, Shani Dosham, Rahu Dosham and Ketu Dosham. These are the major dosham which can spoil our growth and progress in life. If we do even minimal puja during this navaratra we can be assured of mukti from the dosham. For Mangal Dosham : If you donate Red Cloths, Rajmah and copper coin alongwith Chandan to Maa you will have mangal dosha nivarthy and will have marriage and such auspicious happenings in your life. For Shani Dosham : If you donate blue cloths, Bichua, Urad, and brass utinsils in the Temple you will certainly have relief from Saade Saathi, Dhaiyaa, and Ashtama Shani effect. For Rahu Dosham : If you give in the Temple of Shakthi, Trishul, Turmeric Powder, Suhagaan Items and also Lobia you will have happiness coming in your life. For Ketu Dosham : If you give MAA Sindoor, Mahendi, Altaa, and Groundnut alongwith Chandi ka coin you will have great relief from Ketu's bad effect. Not only these dosham, but all other poorva punya dosham can also be removed if you can arrange for anna daanam on any of these days and also provide gifts to small kanya numbering to 8 every day. Also try to give one pious lady suhagan items for general happiness and prosperity in life. Offering fodder to cow during mornings and evenings on these days will give perfect health to the family members and assure long life. Like wise there are small but very effective remedies like getting Lagna dosha nivarthy by getting Nakshatra Shanti Puja done. Poorva Punya dosha nivarthy done by getting Shanti Havan done or Navagraha homam done. Also putra/pitru dosham can be mitigated by doing various puja/sankalp during this auspicious period.
