Photo/Video: Emily Prapuolenis/The Wall Street Journal 16 min ago 12:00 p.m. April 14, 2016 Seagate's stock plunges toward worst day in seven years, on heavy volume Seagate Technology PLC's stock plunged toward its worst day since the depths of the Great Recession, in very active morning trade Thursday, after the disk-drive maker cut its fiscal third-quarter revenue and margin outlook. The stock tumbled 19%, the biggest one-day percentage decline since it fell 24% on Jan. 22, 2009. The biggest decline, since the company went public in Dec. 2002, was a 24.5% drop on Oct. 22, 2003. Trading volume reached 28 million shares within the first 90 minutes of Thursday's regular session, or about six times the full-day average over the past 30 days of 4.7 million shares, according to FactSet. The company cut late Wednesday its revenue outlook for the current quarter to $2.6 billion from $2.7 billion, and its adjusted gross margin outlook to 23% from 25.6%. Eight of the theaters will be built at Imax's construction projects throughout China and the other two locations are not yet determined. Photo: Samsung USA 12:53 p.m. April 12, 2016 Integrated Device Technology's stock jumps after disclosure of buyout bid Shares of Integrated Device Technology Inc. spiked up as much as 23% in midday trade, before paring gains to be up just 3.8%, after the company disclosed the receipt of a buyout bid by an investor group led by Libin Sun. The group said in a letter to Integrated Device's board that it would pay $32 a share in cash for the shares they don't already own. That represents a 65% premium to Monday's closing price of $19.43, and would value the semiconductor maker at about $4.3 billion. The company was not immediately available for comment. The investor group currently owns roughly 5% of the shares outstanding, according to regulatory filings provided by the company, with Libin Sun owning 6 million shares, or 4.4% of the outstanding shares. The group said the buyout bid, which is nonbinding, will be financed with a combination of debt provided by loans from a third party and equity capital.
