The Cowboys have signed Heath to a four-year deal, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Analysis: In his role as reserve safety for the Cowboys in 2015, Heath managed to record two interceptions to go along with 25 tackles and a forced fumble. While he's generally off the IDP radar, Heath -- who turns 25 next month -- has carved out added value to the Cowboys with his strong special teams play.

NFL Network's Albert Breer suggests that the Packers are going to be pleased with what they see in terms of Lacy's physical fitness when the running back reports for the team's offseason program next week.

Analysis: The report appears to affirm that Lacy's offseason workout routine under the direction of P90X founder Tony Horton has yielded positive results, with Breer describing the redistribution of weight on Lacy's frame as "remarkable." In any case, once the Packers' workouts commence on April 18, there should be confirmation, one way or the other, pertaining to the running back's conditioning level. In addition to adding quickness that could aid in his ability to avoid tackles, by shedding excess pounds, it's hoped that the running back -- who is officially listed by the team at 5-foot-11, 234 pounds -- can avoid the sort of nagging injuries that have hampered him of late. Assuming he is able to maintain his improved level of fitness, retaining his spot atop the Packers' running back depth chart, ahead of James Starks and John Crockett, is a likely outcome for Lacy, who turns 26 in June.

Bailey (head), who finished the 2015 season on the Rams' reserve/non-football injury list, posted a video of himself on Tuesday running routes, ESPN.com reports.

Analysis: While it is encouraging to see Bailey, who was shot twice in the head on Nov. 24, progress to the point that he is able to run routes, the 25-year-old's football future remains uncertain. With that in mind, coach Jeff Fisher noted last month that Bailey "is currently in the evaluation process, seeking numerous opinions from neurologists and the like...just to see if he can not only play but continue with a rigorous physical rehab program that will put him in position to play."

Hall underwent back surgery earlier in the offseason, NFL.com's Chris Wesseling reports

Analysis: According to the source, the surgery was to correct an issue with a disc in his back that had nagged him late in 2015. Hall isn't the cover corner he used to be, but can still patrol the slot effectively, as evidenced by yet another above-average coverage grade per ProFootballFocus.com for his performance last season. In fact, there isn't a season in which Hall hasn't graded out as at least above-average. Nonetheless, the Michigan product is entering his 10th season in the league, and had already experienced an Achilles tear in both 2011 and 2013 before aggravating his back. Coupled with the likelihood of him taking his time to land one last pay day, it may still be a while before Hall finds a new home.

      Expand +

Darkwa has signed his exclusive-rights tender from the Giants, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Analysis: Effectively, Darkwa remains a part of a crowded rushing attack that broke the goal line a grand total of five times last season, good for second-to-last in the league. Belonging to a club that may possibly own the worst pair of starting tackles, and that also added RB Bobby Rainey to a depth chart already rostered by Rashad Jennings, Andre Williams, and Shane Vereen, Darkwa retains his fantasy irrelevance.
