Driven2Hoop is a community-based program that encourages service and leadership among youth in the Los Angeles community. Through proactive community service, youth are empowered to make a positive impact in their community. Groups choose to address a need in their neighborhood or community in one of the Sparks five community pillars: Military, Youth Sports, Health & Wellness, Education and Women and Girls platforms, and have the opportunity to be rewarded with the ultimate Sparks experience.
Driven2Hoop includes:
- Group tickets to one Driven2Hoop Sparks game
- Bus transportation to and from STAPLES Center for the group
- Food vouchers redeemable at STAPLES Center concessions ($10 value)
- Driven2Hoop t-shirts for the group
- Pre-game Q & A with Sparks business / basketball executives
How it works:
Groups of 25 + are eligible to participate
Community Service or leadership projects must fall under one pillar:
- Military
- Youth Sports
- Health & Wellness
- Education
- Women and Girls Community Platforms
Groups must submit proof of community /leadership service online:
Complete online application
Upload video/photos documenting service (must be within past 12 months)
Groups must have a minimum of 25 youth (K-12) (
Submissions must be made via LASparks.com by May 13, 2016
Groups will be selected to attend a Driven2Hoop game based on:
Meeting minimum group requirement
Project falls under one of the Sparks five CR pillars
Project makes a measurable/visual impact on community
Group has documented goals to continue community service
There are five Driven2Hoop community service games and the celebration game:
Military – Thursday, June 2
Youth Sports – Wednesday, July 6
Health & Wellness – Tuesday, Sept. 6
Education – Sunday, Sept. 4
Women and Girls Community Platforms – Sunday, June 26
