Help us host The Open at Royal Troon Join us this summer when golf's oldest championship returns to the historic West Coast links for the ninth time. The Open relies on the recruitment of temporary employees and volunteers to deliver a memorable experience for the thousands of spectators that will descend on Troon in July. The Open recruits for many different types of positions, please note that on course marshals and walking scorers are recruited locally. Please read the following notes carefully before applying: 1. You should be available to work from Sunday 10 July to Sunday 17 July 2016, although a few of the positions are for part of the week only. If you are offered a position you must commit to its full duration which is usually 8 days. Should you be unable to do so your job offer will be withdrawn. 2. Some shifts might begin as early as 5.30AM. 3. Some positions might be subject to a background check. In such cases, employees will be required to complete a background authorisation form that will be furnished at a later date. 4. A copy of your CV is required and must be enclosed with your application form. 5. It is the applicant’s responsibility to arrange accommodation, transport and food. We are looking for diverse individuals of all ages and experiences to join us in this years Open at Royal Troon Dates of Employment Sunday 10th July - Sunday 17th July 2016 (inclusive) with a compulsory half day of training on Saturday 9th July or Sunday 10th July. Availability on every day of The Open is a condition of employment. Terms of Employment The minimum age to apply is 16, previous retail experience is preferred but not essential. You will be required to work at Royal Troon for the duration of The Open. Travel and accommodation are not provided. Full details including rate of pay can be found in the application link below.
