Dniepropetrovsk 27 января 2015 98 253,0 UAH Projects is finished! And again, there is a cry for help from the doctors who routinely bring back lives to our defenders! The Charity Exchange "DobroDіy" was applied by doctors of a City Hospital of Schastje (Happiness), a town in Lugansk region, the town, ruined by the war. This "happy" name of the town stays ever-present in newspaper headlines for quite a few days already. And every day there are new destructions, broken lives and the new deaths. The hospital is located in the epicenter of today’s tragic events in Eastern Ukraine. The team of doctors are real patriots, who save lives every day. Only for the last few days the hospital has been subjected to mine-thrower attacks several times. Inpatients were evacuated from the hospital, as soon as there is no light, no heat in the hospital, and all underground utilities are damaged. But the wounded, Ukrainian soldiers and civilians, continue to arrive to the hospital every day. And often their condition is so much severe that without immediate surgery, they simply can not be delivered alive to the nearest hospital in a safe area. Due to lack of light the operations can not be conducted in appropriate conditions. To make the operating unit and the ICU keep working, it should be necessary to ensure the voltage of at least 10 kW. A preliminary cost of one diesel generator of a 14 kW capacity would make 76 000 hryvnias (UAH). The aim of the project is to collect 76.000,00 hryvias (UAH) for the purchase of such a generator to the hospital, in order to provide a possible medical cared for the wounded Ukrainian soldiers and civilians in the town of Schastje (Happiness). Dniepropetrovsk 21 января 2015 Completed on 100% This is for the first time, when the Charity Exchange "Dobrodіy" has got the request, after which one begins to appreciate even more the importantce of having not allowed the war into his hometown. It was the letter, from the town of Schastje (Happiness), from the staff of secondary schools №1. A very rare day happens, when the town in the frontal area of the Lugansk region does not suffer from shelling, explosions and destruction. Many houses are destroyed, all the important communications are damaged. To date, there is no light and heat. But yet the city is alive, mostly, due to the fact that courageous teachers have not left their working places, and continue to ensure the education process for almost four hundred children, whose parents work mainly in Schastje TPP, and who keep on supporting the energy supply of all pro-Ukrainian Nothern Lugansk region under daily shelling! But due to the unstable situation for the third month already, the courageous teachers have not been paid, and therefore have virtually no means of livelihood. Parents can not buy the elementary students stationery, school library fund is not replenished. Pupils of the2nd and 6th forms in general are learning without textbooks! (The School, which has turned to a new educational program has not received textbooks for these classes). The aim of the project is to help Schast'ye school №1. What we are going to do: 1) To collect food packages for the teachers’ team – 70 sets consisting of flour, sunflower oil, canned meat, pasta, cereals, sugar, tea. 2) For the children. To collect stationery, books, toys. Read more >> 81 st airmobile brigade Dniepropetrovsk 13 ноября 2014 8 256,6 UAH Projects is finished! The Charity Exchange "DobroDіy" was applied by the soldiers of the new 81st airmobile brigade, which is going to consist of fighters from different regions of Ukraine, including Dniepropetrovs’k legendary 25th Airborne Brigade. One part of the brigade, numbering about 100 people, is currently located at the base of an abandoned children's sanatorium; with heating batteries cut off, broken windows, and with no furniture, most probably, stolen by prowlers. The guys are sleeping right on the floor in their sleeping bags in their street clothes. And, there is only 1 generator for the 100 people, and besides, it is gasoline. They do not have any gasoline to refuel it, however. What they can have is diesel, which can be used to fill a diesel generator, provided there had been one. The holes in the broken windows can be closed up by oilcloth, the guys would need a clinching mount for that purpose. The aim of the project is to collect 17.850,00 hryvnias (UAH) to provide a diesel generator, as well as tools that will allow the soldiers to keep heat in the abandoned building. Soldiers of the 74th separate intelligence battalion are in the picture. Today, the guys from Dniepropetrovsk region are one of the main defenders of our country in the east. They are also the first who reveal military plans and capabilities of the enemy. In contrast to the volunteer units, the 74th battalion has only professional soldiers, who have to stay right in the 'hell' of ATO most of time. And now, as surprising as it may sound, these guys may face a catastrophic situation with their winter boots. There is simply lack of winter boots, which is of course unsatisfactorily. The aim of the project is to collect UAH 13.500,00 to provide 20 pairs of winter boots - ankle boots and cloaks. Her mother’s pregnancy proceeded well, without any complications or pathologies. The problems began while the mother was in labor: the childbirth was stimulated, there was needed obstetric care. The baby was born very weak, she got a brain hemorrhage and convulsions. That is why the girl had to stay at the Department of Pathology of the newborn DGKB #3. At the age of 3 months, Dasha suffered acute osteomyelitis of the left femur. The girl grew up with retardation. Finally, she was diagnosed a cerebral palsy and spastic hemiparesis with a left-sided permanent movement disability. For a full value life Dasha needs 4-5 courses of rehabilitation annually. The cost of each course is about UAH 8.000,00. To say directly, the children with particular needs, at best, can be disregarded, at worst, - can turn jests. Actually, that is why the creative activities with corrective courses for these children can, probably, be the only chance to become a full-fledged member of modern society. Together with a team of experienced teachers and psychologists, we have developed an interesting program covering all forms of art and manual activities. The project purpose is to accumulate UAH 24.000,00 to provide classes on art therapy for five groups on the basis of Education and Rehabilitation Center №1, which would run during the whole 4th quarter. Today Ukrainian soldiers of the 43rd Battalion have been protecting the territorial integrity and peace in our country at various roadblocks in the ATO zone for several long months already. The roadblocks and checkpoints are usually just trenches or entrenchments dug right into the ground without electricity, gas, water, or any other necessary living conditions. The guys simply do not have any possibility to charge the telephone or radio, which could be important means of communication, especially during fights. To take a shower, to wash cloths, or warm up with a hot tea, still remains a dream here. In their past those 45 veterans of the Second World war and Labour of Dnipropetrovs’k region won the victory against fascist invaders, , and it took from them a lot of time and tremendous efforts to revive the city in the after war period. And today, in the age from 84 to 92 years, they stand on the brink of survival. Their beggarly pension (from 1000 to 1200 UAH per month), poor health and solitary lifestyle neither can provide their living wages, nor allow them to care of themselves. The project purpose is to collect 84 thousand hryvnias to provide daily meals for the “nobody’s parents” for the whole period of the fourth quarter of 2014. Recently we have got a letter at our Dobrodiy Charity Exchange from the Charity Fund “Veterans” with the “cry” for help. Despite the fact that “cessation of arms” has been announced, in fact the ATO continues. Cold weather has recently come to Ukraine, but our soldiers, who are defending the Country day and night, often have sleep right on the ground and under open sky. However hypothermia can result in bronchitis, pneumonia, tuberculosis, etc. Read more >> 1 Bandage – 1 Life Dniepropetrovsk 9 сентября 2014 4 257,0 UAH Projects is finished! In the ATO zone (Anti-Terrorist Operation) with severe injuries, doctors have to spend a lot of time and supplies in order to bandage up the injury. Regular bandages with cotton patting do not provide the correct amount of pressure to stop the bleeding and do not stick in place. Our mission is to supply Ukrainian soldiers with the modern 6”Israeli Bandage with Pressure Bar. They allow to keep the bandage in place and stop the bleeding using only one piece even in the body zones such as: neck, groin, armpits. The use of the 6” Israeli Bandage Pressure Par is so simple that even an injured soldier could apply it himself without needed extra help. While trying to save their lives, many families had fled the city of Donetsk, Ukraine with nothing in their possession. People left all the most necessary things, even important documents, behind at their houses that became too dangerous to live in. A lot of such families had been relocated to the nearest city Dmitrov, and the kids were sent to the local school. However, the kids could not start the learning process, since they did not have even the most basic school supplies such as a pen and a pencil. On the 15th of September the 43rdbrigade is leaving from Dnipropetrovsk to join those in the ATO zone (Anti-Terrorist Operation). Our defenders receive terrible injuries that are too severe to get a soldier to a hospital in time due to high blood loss. The solution is to provide each soldier with the highly effective hemostatic tourniquet bandage ‘Celox’. The side of it is covered with the Celox crystals that cause a “clot”. By simply applying the bandage to the affected area, it can quickly stop the bleeding even with deep arterial andvenous bleeding, bullet, knife and glass wounds, as well as the injuries caused by bomb explosions. The price of each pack is 689 UAH. Our goal is to collect 172,250 UAH before September 8th, in order to not allow the blood of 250 Ukrainian soldiers to spill. Every day in the ATO zone (Anti-Terrorist Operation) about 5 and more soldiers are lost due to severe blood loss, which is caused by the absence of modern hemostatic tourniquet materials. After the successful collection of funds for 10 sets of modern individual first-aid kits, we are opening a new round for the collection of funds for a 100 of such sets. One of these sets includes important first-aid materials that had proved itself useful in the past along with new modern components such as CAT tourniquet and Israeli Bandage Pressure Bar. Dniepropetrovsk 14 августа 2014 346 213,8 UAH Projects is finished! Today, each fighting soldier in the Ukrainian army in the east of Ukraine is somebody's father, son, brother or a loved one. And thanks to them we are peaceful and safe in our cities. Most terrible wounds often do not leave our soldiers a chance to stay alive: serious wounds can make it impossible to breathe independently. And if just for 5 minutes the oxygen is not getting into the body, an irreversible process of cell death begins in the brain tissue; and the only way to save the soldier in his faithful condition is to connect him immediately to a ventilator (the CPR device). Perhaps all wars are doomed to repeat due to the fact that we can not adequately take care of our "past" - our parents, grandparents and veterans. We often hear that “children can not be of nobody". There are hundreds of social programs aimed to support orphans. But what about the parents, who are “of nobody”?
