Her next LP will be her 8th, and is following up 2012’s Unapologetic . On Tuesday afternoon (Nov. 25), the pop icon took to Instagram to let fans know she was “P—-n roun in da studio” (via Miss Info ). The 15-second snippet has the singer singing “Ain’t none of this s–t promised, ain’t none of this promised,” with the backing of sirens and frayed texture. The song does not sound like one of her radio-ready jams, but more artistic in concept. Whether or not this is indicative of what is to come for the artist remains to be seen. Check out a taste of what is perhaps Rihanna’s next album below. Today, Killer Mike’s passionate speech from the concert made its way around the internet, and Mike granted an interview to Noisey about the happenings and the concert speech. “El came into the back and gave me a hug,” Killer Mike said about the time following the grand jury decision, on a day which also happened to be his wedding anniversary. “My wife tried to console me,” he continued. “We usually come out to “We Are the Champions” by Queen but we knew, yesterday, I didn’t feel like a champion. They both suggested I say a few words before the show starts. I didn’t have anything to say. I didn’t think I’d be able to say anything. And I just got on stage and I told the truth.” Related: Q&A: Run The Jewels Timely Sequel Will Raze Your Life During the interview, Killer Mike talks on a lot of angles regarding the events of last night, but wraps up the feeling by saying, “What’s crazy is that, if you’re a black man this confirms everything you’re told it was. That’s the thing. I maintain hope that this country can be what it’s supposed to be. I maintain hope that it can live up to all its promises to all its citizens, man. The panel decided that Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson will not face charges in the August 9, 2014, shooting death of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown. Today, supporters are being urged to gather at the crypt of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the King Center in Atlanta. Organizers say the gathering is being called to examine methods of boycotting that would be most effective. According to Rev. Markel Hutchins it’s to call for consumers to withhold dollars on Black Friday. Hutchins says, “only when people monetize and withhold their dollars will we see any kind of effort to address the pain that is being felt throughout black America.” It’s being led primarily by the Georgia State SCLC, the National People for the American Ways, the African American Ministers Leadership Council, and others, according to Hutchins. Organizers says agitators will not be allowed. “We want this to be a peaceful protest” says founder Aurielle Marie. Rev. Al Sharpton is also calling for a protest in 28 cities today, including Atlanta. A “Community Vigil” will be held on Monday, at 6pm, at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta. Pastor Raphael Warnock says it’s a time for all hands on deck. “We want to hear especially from our young people”, says Warnock, “we want to hear from our faith leaders, from our parents.” The Ebenezer Senior Pastor adding, “this is not the end, this is the beginning of an important struggle for human rights in America.” ]]> http://v103.cbslocal.com/2014/11/25/how-to-join-a-ferguson-protest-in-atlanta/feed/ 0 http://v103.cbslocal.com/2014/11/25/dej-loaf-debuts-try-me-with-help-from-the-roots-on-tonight-show-watch/ http://v103.cbslocal.com/2014/11/25/dej-loaf-debuts-try-me-with-help-from-the-roots-on-tonight-show-watch/#comments Tue, 25 Nov 2014 15:25:15 +0000 cbskapost http://v103.cbslocal.com/?p=217320 Dressed in a wrap-around sweater and a pair of glitter slip-on sneakers, the Detroit rapper showed us exactly why Drake is such a fan. ]]> By Shannon Carlin Dej Loaf made her late night debut yesterday (Nov. 24) on The Tonight Show with a little help from The Roots .
