It’s a shame the song is so terrible because the Yugoslavia-born, Minnesota-raised diva delivers comedy gold with controversial antics that also include stripping in a confessional booth. “Once I was old enough to make a decision for myself regarding my own spirituality, I realized how much I had been brain-washed by the church,” explains SHEON. “To me, the church is not about love, forgiveness, and redemption, but about control and fear.” Fair enough. But how does a cheesy Euro-dance anthem about making it to second base relate to those very serious issues? Watch up top if you desperately need a laugh. To be fair, he only tossed the ball about half a mile wide of the range it needed to be in. But as the PIX 11 announcer says in the clip above, it’s good Fiddy never had the choice between a career with the Mets or being a rapper. Here’s hoping the “Funeral” MC’s upcoming youth-oriented Fox series Playground is a far better watch than this strike-out. Robbie Daw Jan 15th, 2014 // Comment Tweet Hell On Wheels There’s been some crazy promo going on in the Big Apple lately, the type which left some people shrieking in the streets and others dancing on mass transit. First up is the mechanized “Devil Baby” that went rolling around around the streets of Manhattan, popping out of its carriage and shrieking at (not to mention projectile-vomiting in the paths of) curious onlookers. All of these horrific shenanigans were part of an elaborate push for upcoming horror flick Devil’s Due (in theaters this Friday, January 17). Not to be outdone by that sure-to-be-cherished cinema classic is the Grammys, who partnered up with chart-topping duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for a little prank by having the nominated pair step onto Brooklyn’s B6 bus and whip out a flash-like impromptu performance of their hit “Can’t Hold Us.” The trick underscored the fact that the hip-pop gents are good sports, as were the clapping passengers who made up their audience. Watch both stunts below and see how New Yorkers reacted to each. After racking up 87 million views on YouTube with THE trashtastic pop music viral clip of the fall, how does Steve Kardinyl — aka the “Wrecking Ball” Chatroulette guy — top that success at year’s end? By staging a similar stunt on the webcam chat site with Mariah Carey ‘s modern day classic “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” of course! Kardinyl’s skag drag is full-on festive as he bumps, grinds, twirls and humps a Christmas tree to the tune of Mimi’s 1994 holiday chestnut, all to the delight of a series of wide-eyed onlookers on Chatroulette. From shirtless bros who thought they were in for some naughty “show me yours…” action to an old tie-dyed hippie with a Santa beard, no one is immune to the giddy charms of the Internet’s class clown of 2013. Remember Michael Jackson ‘s cute date in 1983′s iconic “Thriller” video? That was Playboy playmate-turned-actress Ola Ray . Three decades later, the 52-year-old stunner is releasing a single of her own. Words can’t adequately describe the life-changing (for the worse) experience that is “Remember”. The MJ tribute means well but boggles the mind with its sheer awfulness. I wasn’t ready to hear the budding diva croak lyrics like “you were the king of pop, you know you are and I was your queen on the movie screen” against a generic beat that sounds like it was created on a malfunctioning iPhone app. More » Share: Posted Under: Michael Jackson , Ola Ray Lionel Richie Sings “Hello” Inside A Refrigerator In Tap King Beer Ad: Watch Robbie Daw Jun 25th, 2013 // Comment Tweet %3Ciframe%20width%3D%22600%22%20height%3D%22337%22%20src%3D%22http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fembed%2FVyNQJplaVa4%22%20frameborder%3D%220%22%20allowfullscreen%3E%3C%2Fiframe%3E Hello, Is It Leftover Pasta You're Looking For? When you owe cash to the tune of $1.1 million to the IRS , you can do one of two things: go to the slammer for evasion, or take on jobs that, while not the most glamorous, might at the very least become viral sensations. I’m not saying this is an accurate explanation for why Grammy-winning crooner Lionel Richie decided to dust off his 1984 chart-topper “Hello” and sing it while inside a fridge for an Australian Tap King beer commercial, but… Good ol’ Lionel is a real trooper, smiling the whole way through this cheeseball clip. And Good ol’ Australia really knows how to crank out entertaining beer ads . Watch above, and see if Tap King has you falling in endless love with Richie all over again. In the meantime, Morrissey opted for the next best thing: a photo of he and ’80s pop star/current day Internet meme icon Rick Astley together. Blog Slicing Up Eyballs noted in 2010 that the pic of the two was snapped in February 1989 during a taping of UK music program Top Of The Pops , when Morrissey was doing promo for “The Last Of The Famous International Playboys” the first time around. Rick Astley, on the other hand, was just there being awesome. Catch the single’s new artwork below. But there’s a mystical order beneath the chaos. For instance, sometimes on the same day an asteroid brushes past the Earth, a giant meteor also explodes in the sky in Russia. Sometimes on the same day couples are celebrating their love together, Vin Diesel will post a surreal, lonely cover of a sad Rihanna song. As a Valentine’s Day gift (?) to his Facebook fans, the actor posted the above video showing him singing along to “Stay,” and subsequently all other YouTube videos for the next 24 hours have been put on notice. (Bye, “Harlem Shake” !) If you’ve ever had the pleasure of hearing Mr. Diesel grunt out his lines in a movie, then, well, you’ve heard him sing. It’s the same sound. And guys, even if you can’t sit through the whole thing, please just skip to the end to hear him channel the creepiness of 1,000 drunk uncles with a groan-kiss that sounds like something out of The Exorcist ‘s holy water scene. Don’t try to make sense of it, people, just accept it and let it wash over you. PSY tweeted a photo of the two stars donning the adamantium claws (look it up, non-nerds) as an artifact to show future generations when “Gangnam Style” fades away. Just kidding! It will never die. Welp, where do we go from here? Carly Rae Jepsen performed a duet of her breakout hit “Call Me Maybe” with actor Harvey Keitel . If that sounds like a joke, that’s because it sort of is: the strange pairing was part of Comedy Central’s Night Of Too Many Stars , which raises money for autism research. For the musical bit, the bubbly 26-year-old (who sang her part) was juxtaposed with the actor known for his grizzled roles (for his part, he spoke Carly’s lyrics matter-of-factly). Good sports, good song, good laughs, and all for a good cause. The special airs October 21, but you can see the odd pairing up top.
