The Tibetan Parliament in Exile based in Dharamsala, northern India started today's session by paying respect to Lhamo Tashi, a 22 year old student who self immolated in Tsoe City of Kanlho Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture on September 17, 2014.

The Regional Tibetan Youth Congress and Regional Tibetan Women's Association organized a candle light vigil to show their solidarity with the recent incident.

Residents and visitors in McLeod Ganj, Dharamasala joined the vigil where Rose Tang, a Chinese Tibet Supporter shared her personal experiences being under the Chinese Communist rule and paid her condolences.

Lhamo Tashi, who burnt himself to death outside a police station at Tseo, Amdo on September 17 becomes the 132nd Tibetan to self immolate inside Tibet since 2009. Many of the previous Tibetans who had carried out self-immolation protests had called for the return of the Dalai Lama to Tibet and freedom for Tibetans.
