After more than two months of Big Spring Jam officials deliberating over the 2011 festival's turnout -- an estimated 30,000 attendance -- and fate, it was decided that several factors affected the event's outcome, including Friday's weather and high school football games, home games for both the University of Alabama and Auburn University, and a struggling, weakened economy.
