Between the premiere of "Romeo and Juliet" and the big promotional blitz for "Ender's Game", we're seeing a lot of Hailee Steinfeld on the red carpet lately—and whatever the critics have to say about her performances, there's no faulting her fashion sense. Just look at the sassy pants she sported for a photocall this week: fun, flattering and right on target for a film that takes place in space.

After glamming it up like a Shakespeare heroine (and enjoying some quality hangout time with T-Swift) at the "Romeo and Juliet" premiere, Hailee has opted for more casual and cutting-edge looks during her "Ender's Game" duties, including these intergalactic trousers at the photocall in Paris. The actress rounded out her sci-fi style with chunky shoes, a tailored t-shirt and some brand-new fringe. When so many young Hollywood megastars play it safe with classic girlywear, it's great to see Hailee having fun and taking some fashion risks; we can't wait to see what she wears next, and we're proud to declare her this week's Style Superstar.

Julie Plec had her work cut out for her with last night's series premiere of "The Originals."

"The Vampire Diaries" executive producer created and launched the new drama about the Original vampire family via what the television industry calls a "backdoor pilot": a tester of sorts disguised as an episode of "The Vampire Diaries." That maneuver doesn't always work (sorry about your luck, Dwight Schrute centered spin-off from "The Office"), but this one passed with flying colors.

The appropriately titled "Always and Forever" series premiere had the difficult challenge of establishing a new show for folks who've never seen "TVD" (and seriously, who are those people?), while pleasing longtime fans of the Mystic Falls mythology. And the way the season premiere was able to simultaneously serve audiences both old and new was nothing short of excellent to say the least.

This week, "Glee" presents the Beatles with the greatest gift a television series centered on a glee club can bestow upon a band: by immortalizing them with a musical homage for a second straight week! Other than being knighted, and perhaps the birth of his children, this is probably the highest honor ever presented to Sir Paul McCartney.

Let's get to the action!

McKinley High:
McKinley High's prom is approaching, and everyone is eagerly awaiting the nominees for prom king and queen. Mr. Schue crosses his fingers in anticipation—seemingly unaware that he is ineligible since, despite his overwhelming behavior that would suggest the contrary, he is not technically a student.

Considering anyone who's anyone was waiting and obsessing over and just generally going through the motions of life until "The Vampire Diaries" returned, it’s not surprising that Julie Plec knew what I did last summer. But, oh. Someone just mentioned that the episode title was referring to the characters. Right. Makes total sense. I’m not embarrassed at all.

But clearly, I was more excited about last night’s premiere than any human should have been. And I’m happy to report that the episode didn't disappoint.

Here are the goods:

Guys, there's soooo much good TV on tonight. In addition to the premieres of "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals," "Glee" returns with a brand-new episode featuring none other than Demi Lovato!

Demi will be playing Dani, a love interest to Naya Rivera's Santana. Make sure those DVRs are set!

In case you were wondering, yes, there are "Angels in the Outfield." This, according to "Don Jon" actor Tony Danza, who along with co-star and director Joseph Gordon-Levitt kindly appeared on our latest After Hours episode, "The Yes/No Show."

Other tidbits you'll learn during the quick clip: JGL does not like being called "jiggle," Tony is contractually obligated to be named "Tony" in at least half of his films, and Joe totally understood "Inception."

For four seasons, I've been attempting to spread the gospel of "The Vampire Diaries." (I know it’s shocking, but a lot of people in their twenties and older don’t exactly appreciate hot twenty or thirty-somethings pretending to be teenage vampires and witches and werewolves. Crazy, right?) But I think I've finally succeeded! Because only something of serious cultural importance (ahem, “The Vampire Diaries”) would still be going on when the government’s shut down! Am I right?!

So, I've decided it’s my duty to prepare you for tonight’s season five premiere of this all-important cultural institution. Which I will do right now.

Here’s what we know:

After so many years wearing blond wigs and body glitter as the Cullen family patriarch, we totally understand why Peter Facinelli might want to take a break from big-screen endeavors to try his own hand at stardom of the YA literary variety—which he is, along with a couple of author friends and the blessing of Little Brown books. We can expect to see Peter's first authorial effort, a dystopian tale about a boy named Rose, on shelves in 2015. But why should he get to have all the fun? The time is ripe for all the "Twilight" peeps to give novel-writing a shot! And just in case they're looking for inspiration, we've got some perfect pitches for the saga's three headliners whenever they're ready to write.

For Kristen Stewart: a romance!
Everyone loves a roman a clef, and Kristen's renowned close-mouthedness about her private life will make readers even keener to pick up a book that seems like it might be an autobiography in disguise. Our suggestion: The story of a young actress named Kaitlyn Wartstew, who finds herself cast in a multi-film franchise about sparkly zombies, and ends up embroiled in a high-profile secret love affair on-set with a delicious Brit named Bobbert Schmattinson.

It's a big week for Demi Lovato. Not only will she make her debut on FOX's song-and-dance series "Glee" tonight, but during yesterday's appearance on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," she debuted a new blue 'do—which may or may not be tied to her upcoming Neon Lights tour.

The songstress tweeted, "LIKE NEON HAAAIIIIIRRRRR!!!!" along with a selfie of her dye job. (The 21-year-old had previously been rocking blond locks.)

Demi's never been one to shy away from changing her look, telling MTV News this spring, "It's, like, my only form of rebellion. I don't drink. I don't do drugs. I don't party, so I'm like, 'Tattoos and hair color!'"

Even if you're not a "Vampire Diaries" fan (WHY AREN'T YOU A "VAMPIRE DIARIES" FAN?!), you're going to want to tune in to "The Originals," the "TVD" spin-off debuting tonight following the "TVD" season five premiere. Why? Well, first off, have you SEEN the faces on this cast? Use your eyes, people. That should be reason enough.

But if you like some substance to go along with your sexy casts, you're in the right place. There are plenty of non-superficial reasons to add the series to your DVR lineup. The show follows the Original family of vampires as they try to regain control of New Orleans, the city they helped found, from the vengeful, power-drunk vampire they left in charge when they moved out a few hundred years ago. Mix in some witches, werewolves, an in-the-dark human and a half-werewolf, half-vampire/werewolf-hybrid baby (so, like, three quarters werewolf, one quarter vampire?) and you've got yourself one heck of a show.

What, that plot description didn't sell you either? Sheesh. Here are a few more things you'll find in "The Originals" premiere that should get you excited for the first season.
