"Time After Time," author Tamara Ireland Stone's companion to "Time Between Us"—about 1995 time-traveler Bennett and future girl Anna, whom he falls in love with—hits bookstore shelves and e-readers today. In celebration, Stone's compiled a thoroughly '90s mix for your aural enjoyment.

The music of the early-to-mid '90s plays a huge role in "Time Between Us" and "Time After Time," companion novels about an intense romance between Bennett, a teen time traveler from present day, and Anna, the girl he meets back in 1995.

Anna listens to Green Day on her Discman during her early morning runs. Her friend Justin works at his dad’s record store and burns mixes for her. She and her best friend Emma sing along to Pearl Jam’s Vitalogy on the way to school each morning.

And like every teen back in 1995, Anna’s shelves are bursting with CDs, from classic must-haves like Nirvana’s Nevermind to mainstream favorites like the Goo Goo Dolls’ A Boy Named Goo and obscure demos (at the time) like the Foo Fighters’ self-titled debut.

I've made playlists for each book (check them out here), and today, I bring you back to 1995 with my favorite songs from Anna’s shelf:

Sixteen-year-old New Zealander Lorde is taking the world by storm with her No. 1 hit single "Royals," and it looks like her tune has even made it to the Rosewood radio waves.

Lorde has a fan in "Pretty Little Liars" actress Ashley Benson, who took to Twitter today to sing the praises of the artist's new album Pure Heroine. We're humming along too, Ashley.

If you've ever wondered what it would look like for MTV News guy Josh Horowitz to straddle "A.C.O.D." star Adam Scott, well, you're in luck (and really weird). The actor is the guest on this week's After Hours, appearing in the segment "Up Close," in which interviewer and interviewee appear in uncomfortable proximity, while discussing more than a few awkward topics.

You'll only know just how bizarre things gets by clicking on the clip above! (Though don't say we didn't warn you...)

If you thought that the release of the final "Twilight" film last year meant the end of exciting new pop-culture ephemera of the sparkly vampire variety, well, clearly you've forgotten the most important part of the whole dang saga: it goes on FOREVER. Forever! Just like Edward and Bella and their bedroom furniture-shattering epic love! And just like this brand new, long-awaited box set featuring every last movie and then some, which is called (you guessed it) "Twilight Forever: The Complete Saga."

Forget your Edward Cullen body pillow or teensy Aro action figure that goes "Ahahahahah! Remaaaaarkable!" when you pull its string; this, right here, is the definitive must-have item with which to demonstrate your "Twilight" cred.

In case you hadn't noticed, 2014 is gearing up to be a very big year for people who like books that become movies—as various YA novels will be emerging all year from the Hollywood chrysalis, having morphed from stories on paper into cinematic butterflies that make all our dreams come true. And today, you can make two indelible marks on your calendar: one for the new release date of "The Maze Runner," and one for (commence nonstop excited shrieking on the part of Nerdfighters everywhere) "The Fault in Our Stars"!

Yep, that's right: You'll be able to see young lovers Hazel and Augustus in their big-screen glory on June 6, 2014 (according to studio Fox)—because nothing says "summer" like crying for days over the doomed romance of two perfectly lovely teenagers.

The countdown to "Coven" is on! In just two days, we'll all be transported to a witchy wonderland via the third season of "American Horror Story"—and this weekend, Hollywood got a head start on their horrorshow with a big, fancy premiere for the cast, crew and celebrity fans alike. The usual suspects were all there, including Taissa Farmiga, Sarah Paulson, and the series' resident heartthrob Evan Peters accompanied by his co-star and ladyfriend Emma Roberts, but there was also a bonus show by a bunch of "Glee" cast members who came to support showrunner Ryan Murphy.

Among the McKinley High students who stayed out past curfew to celebrate "AHS": Jenna Ushkowitz, who looked very demure in a simple black dress...until she turned around and showed off a decidedly daring back. Magic!

This past Sunday was the premiere episode of Lifetime's "Witches of East End" series, the television show based on my novel of the same name. Ever since the show was announced and publicized, I've been bathing in the warm afterglow of kudos, congratulations and well wishes. It's been a fun ride. And I've told everyone who's asked what I'll tell you now. What's it like to see your book on the screen? For me, the answer is: VERY PLEASANT.

I can't find another word to describe it. It's been a wonderful ride. I've been selling my books to Hollywood for over a decade. Many of my books have been optioned many times. I was tired of being seduced and abandoned by Hollywood. I'd had too many dreams, and too many dreams crushed.

So by the time "Witches of East End" came up for sale, I was old, chickens. I was old and tired and jaded and ready for nothing to come of it. I didn't even think about it much. The head of my management company, 3Arts, the venerable Erwin Stoff, told me he would like to produce it before it was published. I had no idea how BIG this was. I just took it for granted—oh, you too? Many, many people have wanted to produce my books, dear Erwin...get in line. But I said yes. I liked Erwin. I liked the movies and TV shows he'd made.

When we hung out with Darby Stanchfield yesterday (she plays redhead gladiator Abby Whelan on the hit ABC show), she was tight-lipped on spoilers for the highly anticipated "Scandal" season premiere, but did hint that it would be "explosive, dangerous and sneaky." Between Olivia's dad officially earning the honor of Worst Dad Ever and [*SPOILER ALERT*] learning that Fitz was behind the press leak about his affair with Olivia, we're already counting down the seconds until the next scandal-filled episode.

"Season 3 is just as scandalous, if not more so, than Season 2," Darby said. "It's crazy good! That shock-and-awe element with these bombs that are dropped every episode, it continues in Season 3."
