Two different times, someone called Niklaus Mikaelson "diabolical" on last night's episode of "The Originals." The vampire/werewolf hybrid and black sheep of the ancient Original vampire family even referred to himself as "the devil in disguise" during "Tangled Up in Blue," the third proper episode of the CW's latest supernatural series, spun-off via a backdoor pilot from "The Vampire Diaries."

There was a Romeo and Juliet type story within the episode, a bit of a love rectangle between four central characters, a handful of deaths and a "TVD" style costumed ball. This one was filled with wealthy charity donors, vs. high school kids.

And thanks to a magic spell, we learned that Hayley's fanged bun in the oven is a girl! What's that say about fathers and daughters and karma and all of that? Poor Klaus sure has bedded, bitten, compelled, tortured and murdered a lot of ladies! Yikes.

Nina Dobrev is reportedly back on the market. The "Vampire Diaries" star is rumored to have split from Derek Hough, who she started dating in September after splitting from Ian Somerhalder back in May.

According to Us Weekly, sources close to the couple say that the relationship "played itself out." Long distance may have also been a factor in the breakup what with Nina busy shooting "The Vampire Diaries" in Georgia, and Derek busy dancing and winning Emmy Awards and whatnot on "Dancing With The Stars" in sunny L.A.

But don't worry about Nina's besties status with Derek's sister, Julianne. Insiders say that despite the split, Nina and Julianne remain pals: "Julianne understands — there are no hard feelings."

What happens when the grim, eerie world of Night Vale collides with the fabulous adventures of one Magnus Bane? GREAT THINGS, you guys. Today marks the release of "The Fall of the Hotel Dumort", the latest installment of the Bane Chronicles series detailing the life and times of the most magnificent warlock of the "Mortal Instruments" universe; and narrating novella number 7 is none other than Cecil Baldwin, otherwise best known as the beautiful baritone who delivers us the Night Vale podcast bimonthly. Which means that whatever Bane is up to at Hotel Dumort in the seedy NYC of the 1970s, he's going to sound fabulous doing it.

And in honor of the hotly-anticipated seventh story from Bane's illustrious past, we've got two delightful exclusives to put in your earholes: an interview between Cecil and co-author Maureen Johnson, and a first listen to an excerpt from the audiobook.

Toby Regbo is ready to rule your heart on The CW drama "Reign." We love a guy who feels comfortable rocking old school garb. (Men in tights are way underrated.) We’re hoping to see Toby don some on the series, which kicks off this week. By the way, he happens to be this week’s Hump Day Hottie.

Check out this dreamy photo of Toby, and keep reading for more details about him!

Vital stats: The 21-year-old hails from London. And, even from a young age, Toby pursued an acting career, performing in school plays. He also attended the Young Blood Theatre Company.

Poor, poor Carrie White. So misunderstood. So bullied. So telekinetically tormented...and of course, so creepy beyond all human comprehension! It's what makes her such a proud member of the horror genre's best and most elite group: The Society of Freaky Girls Who Do Very Bad Things.

In honor of the release of "Carrie" this week, we're showcasing a few more scary chicks from horror flicks who have captured a little piece of our heart (or, uh, other body parts) over the years. Read on for a list of ladies who, when pushed to their limits, are anything but sugar and spice.

With the "American Horror Story: Coven" premiere bringing out so many pretty young things for its red carpet, it's no surprise that our Style Superstar is one of the show's sassy witches. The entire cast brought it in such a big way, it was hard to pick just one of the students at Miss Robichaux's to award this week's honors to—but when pressed, it was the woman in white who took it home.

Emma Roberts was a show-stopper in this white cutout Cushnie Et Ochs dress that showed off a peek of her lovely abs. With a glittering triangular clasp on the bodice, super-smokey eyes and her hair swept in a wave over one shoulder, her look was magic indeed...so magic, in fact, that we won't even get after her for sporting white pumps in cold weather.

It has been almost 20 years since our fave star-crossed lovers whispered sweet nothings to each other in iambic pentameter on the silver screen.

But this week, Juliet (a.k.a. Hailee Steinfeld) and her Romeo (Douglas Booth) are hitting the big screen, bringing Shakespeare's classic tragedy to life in a new adaptation from Italian filmmaker Carlo Carlei.

You already know how the story goes. But here are five things you should do before seeing what light through yonder new version breaks.

For Gayle Forman and Jo Knowles, good things come in pairs. The authors have both penned what you might call "dualogies," companion novels in which one is written from the girl's point of view, and the other, from the boy's. Gayle's latest, "Just One Year," hits bookstore shelves this week, and to celebrate, the women sat down to discuss their respective literary double doses.

Jo Knowles: Like many of your readers, I was on the edge of my seat reading "Just One Day," wondering if Allyson would find Willem. So when I got to the end of the book, I was like, "BUT BUT BUT... WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?????" Did you always know there would be a follow up? And if so, did you know what the point of view would be?

Gayle Forman: There was about a week when I thought "Just One Day" would be a standalone (with the same ending, BTW!), but then I was in the shower—do you have breakthroughs in the shower?

If Jason Bourne and his memory-impaired cohorts have taught us anything in life, it's that "on the run, with the government after you and with giant gaping holes in your consciousness" is a decidedly unfortunate way to be—so we're seriously freaked for Sloane and James, the couple we first met in Suzanne Young's YA thriller "The Program."

The book takes place in a world where teen suicide has become an epidemic; the titular Program is where angsty young people go to be "cured" via a mysterious method that stops their depression but also leaves them as blank, amnesiac shells of their former selves. And if you're wondering what comes next for the pair, here's a hint: Just take a peek at our EXCLUSIVE reveal of the cover of its upcoming sequel, "The Treatment."
