Daniel Gillies' 'Broken Kingdom' Goes To Showtime

"The Vampire Diaries" star Daniel Gillies is finally getting distribution for his independent films "Broken Kingdom" and "Kingdom Come." The actor and director has been very forthcoming about his struggle trying to create his first feature film, so learning that both projects will air on Showtime in May is a nice conclusion to this story.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Showtime has acquired both "Broken Kingdom" and "Kingdom Come," and will air them back-to-back on May 15 starting at 7 p.m. "Broken Kingdom" is a drama set in the slums of Bogota and the Hollywood Hills, while "Kingdom Come" is a documentary about Daniels' experience creating his directorial debut.

'Romeo And Juliet' Trailer: Hailee Steinfeld, Douglas Booth Are Star-Crossed Loves

Just when we thought there couldn't be a retelling of "Romeo and Juliet" that we'd love more than Baz Luhrmann's 1996 flick starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes, the trailer for Hailee Steinfeld's upcoming version has arrived. Written by "Downton Abbey"'s Julian Fellowes, the new movie features some of our favorite young Hollywood actors and all the angst and drama we've come to love on Julian's hit British TV show.

Sure, this trailer pretty much gives the entire movie away, but who doesn't know the tragic story of Juliet and her Romeo? Hailee charmed us in "True Grit," but it seems like she'll really win our hearts here. As for Douglas Booth, his dreaminess puts young Leo's to shame, and we don't say that lightly.

Okay, well maybe he's not quite at the DiCaprio level yet, but he's still up there.

Scott Porter Gets Very Shirtless In 'The To-Do List'

This year's MTV Movie Awards features an exciting new category: Best Shirtless Performance. Though the nominees are set for 2013, the lucky MTV Sneak Peek Week attendees who got an early look at Aubrey Plaza's "The To-Do List" discovered a man who could be a contender in next year's shirtless showdown. Former "Friday Night Lights" hunk Scott Porter apparently gets very topless in the movie, which is something Aubrey claimed she was responsible for.

"He told me I was great all the time, and he never had his shirt on, which I requested—even when we weren't filming. And that made me feel safe. I don't know why," she told MTV News.

Ashley Tisdale Plays Scary Movie Edition Of 'F--k, Marry, Kill'

The time has come again for a special MTV Movie Awards After Hours. This time the lucky victim visitor is "Scary Movie 5" leading lady Ashley Tisdale, who was subjected to the classic game "F--k, Marry, Kill."

Since Ashley is starring in "Scary Movie 5," it only makes sense that she participate in the scary movie version of the game. That means she needed to choose between horror film villains like Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees and an unnamed zombie, and sexy vampires like Edward Cullen, Dracula and Count Chocula. You might be surprised by who she chose.

Fangirl Passion Fuels 'Vampire Academy,' 'Fifty Shades' Jewelry Designer

The "Vampire Academy" movie might finally be getting made, but fans of Richelle Mead's series have been obsessing over its story for well over five years. Jewelry designer Janet Cadsawan was one of those fans, and she combined her passions for Richelle's world and for creating beautiful jewelry into a line for enthusiasts like her.

"The books are amazing—,it's an incredible story. After I read all the books, I just called up [Richelle] and I said, 'Is anyone doing your jewelry because these tattoos will be perfect jewelry and I can just see it on people,'" Janet told Hollywood Crush of her official "Vampire Academy" and "Bloodlines" jewelry collections. "Anyone who's a fan, they want the story to continue, and the only way they can do it is by symbols or wearing a piece of jewelry, wearing clothes or getting a tattoo or something like that because they really identify with the story."

Ian Somerhalder Thinks Christian Grey Would Volunteer For Him

FROM MTV ACT BLOG: Ian Somerhalder cares a lot about helping others. In fact, he cares about it so much that he started the Ian Somerhalder Foundation to help the environment and animals, and wants you to get involved volunteering as well.

Our friends over at MTV Act Blog caught up with the sexy "Vampire Diaries" star and talked to him at length about why he chose to support the organizations he did and whether he would date someone who doesn't volunteer ("That would be a deal breaker," he said). But, perhaps most importantly, Ian answered the question we're all dying to know: Would Christian Grey volunteer at the Ian Somerhalder Foundation?

It's A 'Twilight' Takeover On MTV!

Bad news, everyone: There's only one more week until "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" hits theaters. While some of you might consider this a good thing, we here at MTV News are mourning the fact that we only have seven days left until the final "Twilight" movie comes out (well, final "Twilight" movie for the time being).

Fortunately, we've got you covered if you've got the "Twilight" blues like we do. We've planned the mother of all "Twilight" interview marathons for you this weekend, hosted by none other than our favorite "Twilight" interviewer, Josh Horowitz. He'll be manning a "Twilight" Takeover on November 10 and 11 on MTV that includes moments from his most recent "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" interview, going all the way back to the first few times we chatted with the cast back in 2008. Jennifer Lawrence And Nicholas Hoult Are Like 'Perverted Homer Simpsons'

Kristen Stewart said it best when she gushed that Jennifer Lawrence is "so cool." Seriously: The woman is gorgeous, a great actress and down to earth and always seems like she's the most fun to be around. What more could we want in a role model?

As if our girl crush on "The Hunger Games" star wasn't big enough, JLaw opened up in the new issue of Elle about everything from dieting to watching beach volleyball with boyfriend Nicholas Hoult. Apparently they've really got a thing for ladies' behinds.

"[My boyfriend] is honestly my best friend, and hopefully I’m his best friend too. He’s my favorite person to be around and makes me laugh harder than anybody," she explained. "We can eat Cheetos and watch beach volleyball and we turn into two perverted Homer Simpsons, like, ‘Oh, she’s got a nice ass.’ I never thought we’d have such different opinions on asses."

While promoting "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," Kristen Stewart dished to MTV News that not only have she and Jennifer Lawrence met, but they also totally hit it off. The ladies were seated together at a recent event, and we couldn't resist asking what two of the biggest names in Hollywood talked about.

"We didn't compare 'Twilight' to 'The Hunger Games,'" Kristen admitted with a laugh, though she added, "I had seen it."

'Vampire Diaries' Holiday Episode: A Gift Guide

Here's a nice early present for all you "Vampire Diaries" lovers out there: The CW has announced that we're going to be treated to a holiday episode featuring our favorite Mystic Falls residents later this year.

"O Come, All Ye Faithful" is set to air on December 13, and while the official synopsis doesn't talk about any specific Christmas activities (beyond a Winter Wonderland-themed party), we hope that it will include some presents being exchanged in addition to, you know, trying to stop Klaus from ruining everything ever. Since Elena, Stefan and Damon will likely be busy dealing with the Original vampire, we put together a list of gift suggestions to help their holiday planning be all merry and bright. After all, it is November, which means Christmas lights are about to go up and radio stations are going to start playing carols, if they haven't already.
