Kind words of admiration and respect came pouring in for Corno from a variety of sports organizations and personalities in Chicago. - Jerry Reinsdorf, chairman of the Bulls and White Sox, reflected on the friendship he had with Corno that spanned three decades in a statement from both organizations. “How do you best remember someone like Jim Corno? The average fan may not immediately recognize Jim’s name, but I think perhaps no one else in this city has done more over the past four decades to impact the Chicago sports landscape." - Blackhawks chairman Rocky Wirtz explained how Corno's influence has improved the quality of sports programming in Chicago forever . "Jim’s legacy and passion to bring the games, stories and sports heroes in Chicago closer to the fans will live on for many years to come." - The Cubs organization showed how the quality relationships Corno formed throughout his years in the sports broadcasting industry helped build a foundation for success. "Jim always rose to the occasion and got further with affiliates, Leagues, sponsors and advertisers by using common sense, trust and delivering on his promises." - NBC Sports Group president Jon Litner relayed the importance of Corno's guidance at Comcast SportsNet Chicago . "Jim’s distinguished career left several impressive marks on the sports television industry, and his love for the Chicago sports community—its teams and fans—was captured every night under his leadership at Comcast SportsNet.” So many others that have been touched by Corno also expressed how much he meant to them.
