Associate Lawyers and Junior Associates in the field of international arbitration
Key Duties and Responsibilities: • Providing advice on miscellaneous arbitration issues; • Representing clients in international arbitration courts (MKAS at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Ukraine, MKAS at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Russia, ICC, SCC, LCIA, GAFTA, FOSFA, LMAA, etc.); • Drafting legal opinions, procedural correspondence, written submissions, statements of case for oral hearings, etc. • Advising on complex multi-party and/or multi-jurisdictional disputes; • Advising on and structuring international transactions; • Drafting contracts for various international transactions ; • Working with high value international clients to bring disputes to a swift and cost effective solution.
Skills/Experience/Qualifications Required: • Superior academic credentials; • LL.M degree in a foreign university is a plus; • Relevant experience as an associate in an international/local law firm (for Associate Lawyers) or internship in an international/local law firm (for Junior Associates); • Fluent spoken and written legal and business English and Russian; • Experience in arbitration (dispute resolution) moot tournaments is a plus; • Proficient computer skills, especially in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. • Strong time management and organisational skills; • Strong drive and initiative; • Resilience and tenacity - ability to remain effective and focused under pressure; • Results-driven personality; • Confidence to interact at all levels; • Team-player.
Junior Associate/Associate/Senior Associate in Corporate, Antitrust and M&A Department
Key Duties and Responsibilities: • Preparing due diligence and vendor due diligence reports; • Assisting in pre-acquisition restructuring, tax planning and risk mitigation; • Advising on regulatory and licensing matters; • Providing advice on obtaining necessary regulatory approvals (competition merger clearances, National Bank of Ukraine approvals, etc); • Assisting in cross-border and in-country transactions support; • Drafting transactional documents (sale-purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, escrow agreements, etc); • Providing advice on closing, financing, post acquisition and integration support; • Provision of advice in relation to the issues connected with intellectual property rights.
Skills/Experience/Qualifications Required: • Superior academic credentials; • Outstanding results in a Ukrainian law degree, preferably combined with additional education abroad; • Relevant experience (1-2 years) as an associate in an international/local law firm is a must; • Excellent spoken and written English (including legal drafting) and Russian is a must (fluency in other foreign languages is welcome); • Proficient computer skills, especially in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook; • Strong time management and organisational skills; • Strong drive and initiative; • Resilience and tenacity - ability to remain effective and focused under pressure; • Results-driven personality; • Confidence to interact at all levels; • Team-player.
