Do you hear that sound? That sound like a million screaming lunatics? A million screaming lunatics who have come together as one spittle-flecked mass to howl "OH MY FREAKING GAWD IT'S 'ALLEGIANT' DAY"?! Because that is what is happening, y'all: As of today, October 22, the third and final book in the "Divergent" trilogy is on shelves. And because we cannot encapsulate our near-psychotic excitement in words, we're relying on the ever-trusty, oh-so-emotive face of Theo James—who plays Four in the upcoming film adaptation of Veronica Roth's literary series—to express all the feels we are feeling...

...when our friends are like, "Wait, you can't hang out tonight because you have to go home and read?"

By now, you've probably heard the thrilling news that the movie adaptation of E.L. James' "Fifty Shades of Grey" has officially tapped a talented-but-unfamiliar twosome to play the film's pair of leading hotties: Dakota Johnson in the role of naive, virginal college grad Anastasia Steele, and Charlie Hunnam as narcissistic riding-crop-wielder Christian Grey. Which is very exciting! That is, unless you're one of the millions of fans who caught wind of the casting news only to stand up, all aflutter, and shout "But who are these people?!"

Don't worry. We're here to help.

Dakota Johnson is an actress and former model (you might've spotted her in a Mango campaign), and her natural, beachy blond look has made her an easy choice for lighthearted roles—but for her part in "Fifty Shades," we can probably expect a dye job.

It's a lovely day for murder and mayhem...don't you agree? After a much-too-long hiatus, "Pretty Little Liars" returns to the ABC Family airwaves tonight with its season four premiere at 8 p.m. ET. But before you tune in, refresh your memory of all the grisly goings-on in Rosewood with our pretty little primer.

Just don't let A catch you unawares...

He might be the King in the North right now, but Richard Madden clearly doesn't mind taking a step down the royal ladder; the "Game of Thrones" actor has just snagged his first big feature-film gig in Disney's live-action "Cinderella" as the charming Prince...um, Charming.

Richard will star opposite Lily James, who plays the titular character, in a role that offers quite the change from his current kingly responsibilities of trudging around in a filthy woolen cloak and battling the Lannister armies and lopping off the heads of the traitors in his own camp (but then feeling really bad about it afterward). In fact, Richard might not even have to wield a broadsword in this film at all; traditionally, Prince Charming's entire purpose in the Cinderella story is mostly to sit around being handsome and desirable and generally lusted after by all the kingdom's single ladies. But has his battlefield experience on "Game of Thrones" adequately prepared him for the far more arduous task of looking royally delicious for hours on end? I don't know, you guys. We'd better examine the evidence.

Break out your pitch pipe: A sequel to everyone's favorite a cappella comedy has been greenlit by Universal Pictures.

Just days after Rebel Wilson and co-stars Skylar Astin, Anna Camp, Ester Dean, Alexis Knapp, Hana Mae Lee, Ben Platt, Brittany Snow and Utkarsh Ambudkar pitch-slapped us with a brand-new musical mash-up at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, the studio behind "Pitch Perfect" has announced that a cinematic follow-up is slated for 2015.

Now, there's no word yet which stars will return for "Pitch Perfect 2," but with writer Kay Cannon in place, we have high hopes that this flick will be as aca-awesome as the first. But just in case you're a bit dubious, here are the Barden Bellas to demonstrate how you should (and shouldn't) react to this news.

We've spent all week being squeezed between the digital pecs of every MTV Movie Awards nominee for Best Shirtless Performance, and at this point, we've seen it all. Channing Tatum has graced this blog with his shirtless dance moves; Taylor Lautner stripped down in the rain; Ted mixed us a dirty martini; and Daniel Craig rose up out of the ocean like a beefcake submarine. Ayooooogah, ladies. But in this week-long retrospective of our five fine shirtless performers, we may have just saved the best for last. Up today? It's Christian Bale, whose shirtless convalescence from a broken vertebrae in "The Dark Knight Rises" was an extraordinary show of strength in the face of adversity—and, more importantly, an extraordinary show of naked torso in the face of everyone. Unf.

But long before Bane broke Batman's magnificently-defined back, Christian was taking his top off all over Hollywood—showing us the goods that would one day net him this much-coveted nomination for Best Shirtlessness. And if you take a peek at our GIF retrospective of his shirtless oeuvre, you'll see that he's clearly spent his entire career planning for this moment.

When it comes to dating outside of her demo, "Nashville" star Connie Britton doesn't play coy.

"Let's put it this way: The older you get, the easier it is to date younger men," the actress joked in a New York Times Magazine profile earlier this year. And it looks like that motto will serve Connie well on the big screen too.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the 46-year-old actress has been cast as the older love interest to 29-year-old Adam Driver in the film "This Is Where I Leave You." (And, yes, that's "Girls" actor Adam Driver.) The movie, based on a 2009 novel by Jonathan Tropper, follows four siblings who reunite at their childhood home following their father's death. Adam is one of those siblings, and brings along with him his age-inappropriate girlfriend played by Connie.

After a riveting second season for the actor on his HBO series, we're eager to see what kind of chemistry he can cook up with another (formidable) actress. Yet, we also can't help but wonder how one of Connie's previous on-screen loves, "Friday Night Lights" husband Coach Eric Taylor, would feel about this May-December romance. Turns out, not well.

Every day this week, we're celebrating the upcoming 2013 MTV Movie Awards with a special focus on one particular category of nominees: the beefcake buffet of contenders for Best Shirtless Performance. Channing Tatum ("Magic Mike"), Daniel Craig ("Skyfall"), Taylor Lautner ("The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2")—it's been quite the countdown thus far, with each of these fine specimens on glorious display in GIF retrospectives featuring the best moments from their personal shirtless oeuvre. But today, we're taking a break from the topless-only club, and going a step further: into the territory of Live Nude Bears.

Yep, it's Ted's turn.

Given voice by Seth MacFarlane, the foul-mouthed, drug-abusing, womanizing Ted is an unlikely object of desire...except that we just can't stop wanting to smoosh our faces into his furry little belly. So let's take a look at the things that make his performance so special, shall we?

If our 10-second tease of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" trailer—which is set to debut at this weekend's MTV Movie Awards—wasn't enough for you, why not take a bite out of this: an EXCLUSIVE GIF of Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) being ushered to the stage by mentor Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks)!

Sure, sure, this moment was featured in the earlier promo…but not from this angle. Here, you can see exactly what fashionable frocks our District 12 victors are wearing during the latest leg of their Panem-wide PR bonanza. (Loving the sleeveless tunic, JLaw...)
