Joe Manganiello Muses On A 'Magic Mike' Revival

As you can see from this Comic-Con interview, Joe Manganiello is still a bit raw about missing his shot at superhero immortality in "Man of Steel"—"Just rip off the scab," he said, as MTV's Josh Horowitz pointed out that Henry Cavill not only got to play the role of Superman, but also co-opted a key component of Joe's own signature look during a portion of the film.

"He stole my beard," Joe agreed. Ugh! Now that's just mean. But while the "True Blood" star might still be feeling the hurts over not getting to wear the iconic Kryptonian's magic red underoos, he says that his interest in the superhero realm has shifted: With so many X-Men, Batmen, Supermen and Avengers running around, he only wants to do a superhero film if it's "a real deconstruction of the genre."

"I want to do one that flips it on its head," he said. "I want to make the 'Fight Club' of superhero movies!"

And that would be lovely, for sure. But, hey! Speaking of shirtless groups of men doing nasty things in secret clubs: How about that "Magic Mike" musical? The much-discussed flick about male strippers is headed for Broadway, and so we had to ask: Could Joe be in the running to reprise his role in front of a live audience?

'Mean Girls' Musical: So Fetch?

Tina Fey has revealed that her post-"30 Rock" plans include bringing "Mean Girls" to the stage in musical form. Yes, you read that right. "Mean Girls: The Musical" is in development.

Tina revealed the details on the red carpet at the SAG Awards on Sunday night, and we will be wearing pink on Wednesday to celebrate.

"Maybe! We want to. I would love to," she told E! of the project before taking home a SAG for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series. "I'm trying to develop it with my husband, who does all the music for ‘30 Rock,’ and I think Paramount's on board."

Amber Riley Tuning Up For 'Cotton Club Parade'

Amber Riley already feels at home in the Big Apple. Which might explain why she feels so relaxed as she gets closer and closer to her big New York stage debut in the off-Broadway show, "Cotton Club Parade."

"I'm like an honorary New Yorker," she told MTV News. "Like, I’ve been to New York so much and there’s like places that I like to go to, but I’m actually a homebody. I like to sit in my hotel and watch movies and order room service."

That sort of zen approach has also seeped into her summer vacation as she continues to unwind before not only beginning work on the next season of "Glee," but also preparing for her November run.

'Glee' Star Amber Riley Headed To New York Stage!

The cast of "Glee" are no strangers to the theater, and this November, Amber Riley (who plays Mercedes) will join the ranks of Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison and Darren Criss when she adds her pipes to the production of "Cotton Club Parade."

With a voice like hers, it was just a matter of time before Amber got to showcase her talent in a Big Apple production. The "Glee" star tweeted her excitement yesterday, writing, "I am so excited to be a part of "Cotton Club Parade"! I have been wanting to burst out and tell everyone lol I'm glad it's finally out!"

Would You See 'Magic Mike: The Musical'?

Further proof that the man upstairs may very well be a woman: "Magic Mike" is headed to Broadway!!!!!! (*Pauses for hyperventilating to subside*)

...OK!? So it seems "Magic Mike" screenwriter Reid Carolin let slip to USA Today at the film's L.A. premiere that producers are adapting the tale for the Great White Way. "We are working on it as a Broadway show, which would be a different story," he said, "more of a romp, more of a fun night out at a club with a story."

Now, if you've ever popped onto Hollywood Crush for more than 3 seconds, you likely already (and rightfully) guessed that we're more than a little enthused about this idea. Though to be honest, we're not sure how a stage adaptation will differ all that much from an actual strip show, but we're not ones to quibble!

Zooey Deschanel Says You'll Have To Wait To See Her As Loretta Lynn

Zooey Deschanel will go from being a "New Girl" to a "Coal Miner's Daughter" when she hits the Great White Way to portray country singer Loretta Lynn in the stage adaptation of her 1980 biopic.

When the news broke that the singer/actress had been hand-picked by Ms. Lynn to play her in the Broadway production of her book-turned-movie, the quirky actress seemed like the perfect choice, given her love for all things folksie. Plus, the role might help her move out of her comfort zone of playing big-eyed, innocent indie chicks. “Coal Miner’s Daughter” follows the story of Loretta's childhood in rural Kentucky. While we all want to buy tickets to the show, Zooey told us while at the Fox Upfront earlier this week that it’ll be a while before she hits the stage, but she's psyched nonetheless.

“It’s not gonna be for a very long time, but I’m excited, very excited,” she said. “What if I was most excited about the clothes? Not the clothes! I love Loretta Lynn, so I’m just really excited that I get to portray her.”

'How To Succeed' Stars Daniel Radcliffe And Darren Criss Had A Secret Confab

In an earth-shattering collision of the Potterworld and the Gleekosphere—or, depending on just how much of a nerd you truly are, the Potterworld and the musical spinoff of same—Darren Criss has, at last, met "How to Succeed in Business" predecessor Daniel Radcliffe before his Royal Potterness exited the Broadway production.

That's the good news! The bad news, unfortunately, is that there's no photographic evidence of said event. No, not even if you think you might've seen some.

"Somebody showed me a photograph, very obviously doctored, of me and him meeting," Daniel said when he chatted with MTV News' Josh Horowitz recently. But the important thing is, it did happen! And amazingly, the universe did not collapse in on itself despite all the pop-cultural awesomeness converging in one place!

What's In Store For 'Glee'ster Lea Michele? 'Every Role On Broadway'!

This time around, it's Lea Michele—photographed and interviewed for September's Harper's Bazaar—who sat down to talk about sudden celebrity, what's next in line after her "Glee" graduation and close encounters with Ashton Kutcher's private parts.

Lea's nervousness over being recognizably famous is on full display (per her interviewer, she's even obviously anxious about asking for a warm-up on her coffee). But she's also hoping that fans will give her and the other stars of "Glee" some credit for being celebrity n00bs.

"People have to remember this is all new for us,” she said. "I’ve learned some lessons, but people are going to say what they want to say. I know who I am, and I’m not perfect."

'Glee' Star Darren Criss To 'Succeed' Daniel Radcliffe On Broadway

The actor will have a three-week gig starting January 3 when the "Harry Potter" star departs the production, the Al Hirschfeld Theatre confirmed to Entertainment Weekly. Rumors have been swirling for weeks now that the spot would go to Criss, who has never before appeared on Broadway. But as recently as last week, the job was still up in the air.
