Last April, Zac Efron seemed really into the idea of being involved with "Hairspray 2." But it seems now those dreams of seeing Zac and his famous wink in a sequel are dead in the water. Zac confirmed to MTV News at the MTV Movie Awards over the weekend, that "Hairspray 2" is no longer happening.

"You know I hadn't really heard it was happening, if it ever was happening," he shared. "I'm pretty sure that’s the way it was supposed to be."

With only a few short weeks until "Eclipse" hits theaters, fans are certainly salivating for every detail about what they can expect to see in the film when it opens on June 30. And, Jackson Rathbone admits that in this flick, the third in the "Saga," he cannot wait for the flick's fans to finally get to know Jasper a little better.

"I'm really excited for the 'Twilight' fandom to check out 'Eclipse' because we get to delve into Jasper's back story," he told MTV News while out in Los Angeles for the MTV Movie Awards. "It's one thing that I was really excited about since first filming 'Twilight.'"

A couple of years ago you may not have known this 21 year old, but Lily Collins is making a name for herself. She’s worked with A-listers such as Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw in “The Blind Side," and has just wrapped up filming “Priest” with Stephen Moyer and Cam Gigandet. Now you’ll be able to find this beautiful starlet acting alongside Taylor Lautner as his love interest in their upcoming action thriller, “Abduction.”

At the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, Lily gave us a little taste of what she’ll be up to in the upcoming months. “Three months of hanging out with Taylor,” she explained, while sarcastically adding, “I don’t know what I’m going to do.” Seems like her summer will be far from boring, and we’re pretty jealous.

In addition to being one of the best dressed guys at the MTV Movie Awards, causing a bit of drama and accepting the biggest award of the night, Peter Facinelli has another reason to make you jealous: he's already seen "Eclipse."

That's right. When MTV News caught up with him backstage, he admitted that he had seen it only two days earlier, and made a convincing argument for it being the best "Saga" film yet.

"It's my favorite book of the series, and it was a high watermark for me, going in to see that movie," he shared. "It exceeded all my expectations."

Thanks to Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron's appearance at Sunday night's MTV Movie Awards, we realized we had missed some big movie news!

It turns out, about a week and a half ago, CBS Films made the surprising (or not) announcement that they would be moving back the release date of "Beastly" partly because Zac's "Charlie St. Cloud" was moved to the same release day. According to the LA Times, however, it was also "to wait for the Feb. 18 release of 'I Am Number Four,' a science-fiction thriller that stars Alex Pettyfer."

She wore a blue wig and she liked it. Katy Perry sported a new do at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, and it turns out it was somewhat inspired by the upcoming live-action/animated flick she's in, "The Smurfs."

"My mom wouldn't let me [watch the show when I was younger]," Katy recalled to MTV News' Josh Horowitz on the red carpet. "She thought that Smurfette was a little bit slutty being the only female in the village. Now I showed her! I called her up and was like, 'Guess what, mom? I'm Smurfette!'"

It was a sizzling moment on the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards last night, when MTV News reporter, Josh Horowitz, caught up with Xavier Samuel, the newest bad boy in the upcoming third installment of the “Twilight Saga."

With the premiere of “Eclipse” just 23 days away (!!!), the Australian heartthrob explained that it’s “kind of hard to know what to expect” when dealing with a global phenomenon like the aforementioned franchise. Though he joked, “I haven’t been given a guidebook or anything." (Hint hint: maybe some enterprising fan out there should make him one!)

After last night's epic, celebrity-filled MTV Movie Awards, it's not surprising that the stars themselves couldn't stop talking about the event. The "Jersey Shore" kids had a great time hosting the pre-show festivities, but Vinny Guadagnino had good things to say about the main event too. He especially liked Aziz Ansari's hosting skills, saying, "my dude @azizansari killed it last night."

One of our favorite parts of the show was Tom Felton's confused acceptance speech for Best Villain , when Mark Wahlberg interrupted the "Harry Potter" star while dangling from the ceiling for a skit with Will Ferrell. Tom joked on his Twitter account later that the whole thing was planned, saying, "and a big thankyou to mark wahlberg for co writing my acceptance speech, we got together a couple of days ago and wrote that little skit x," but later clarified that he was kidding. "Was joking about the wahlberg speech! i was a bit stumped by the situation but did my best, not an everyday occurrence x."

Check out what other stars, like Lauren Conrad and James Van Der Beek, had to say to the Twitterverse about the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. Follow us @hollywoodcrush to get even more celebrity and pop culture news around the clock!

If "New Moon's" sweep of the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, following "Twilight's" sweep of the 2009 Movie Awards, didn't already clue you off, "The Twilight Saga" is kind of a big deal.

This year's Global Superstar award category seemingly was created solely for the cast, who have become the figureheads of this cultural phenomenon over the past two years. Unsurprisingly, the award went to leading man Robert Pattinson.
