With Halloween just around the corner, Hollywood's finest are clearly feeling festive: The traditional palette of orange and black has been popping up everywhere on the red carpet this week. But not all Halloweenies are created equal, and while some of these looks are scarily stylish, others are just plain scary. Who earned Style Superstar honors for her autumnal finery? And whose ill-fitting dress gave us a fright? Check it!

It's been awhile since Natalie Portman had a movie to promote, but the Paris premiere for "Thor: The Dark World" made it clear that she hasn't forgotten how to put together a show-stopping red carpet look. This Dior dress with a plunge neckline and embellished tulle overskirt is divine on her, with a silhouette that's a little reminiscent of her "Black Swan" role as a ballerina, and the color scheme is pure fall. Opting for sleek hair and minimal jewelry, Natalie wisely kept the only hint of bling limited to her gold heels—and to the beautiful blossom embellishments on the dress itself, of course. Add in the fact that those kind of look like candy corn, and we've got to give her Style Superstar for this sumptuous seasonal getup.

The countdown to "Coven" is on! In just two days, we'll all be transported to a witchy wonderland via the third season of "American Horror Story"—and this weekend, Hollywood got a head start on their horrorshow with a big, fancy premiere for the cast, crew and celebrity fans alike. The usual suspects were all there, including Taissa Farmiga, Sarah Paulson, and the series' resident heartthrob Evan Peters accompanied by his co-star and ladyfriend Emma Roberts, but there was also a bonus show by a bunch of "Glee" cast members who came to support showrunner Ryan Murphy.

Among the McKinley High students who stayed out past curfew to celebrate "AHS": Jenna Ushkowitz, who looked very demure in a simple black dress...until she turned around and showed off a decidedly daring back. Magic!

It's a big week for Demi Lovato. Not only will she make her debut on FOX's song-and-dance series "Glee" tonight, but during yesterday's appearance on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," she debuted a new blue 'do—which may or may not be tied to her upcoming Neon Lights tour.

The songstress tweeted, "LIKE NEON HAAAIIIIIRRRRR!!!!" along with a selfie of her dye job. (The 21-year-old had previously been rocking blond locks.)

Demi's never been one to shy away from changing her look, telling MTV News this spring, "It's, like, my only form of rebellion. I don't drink. I don't do drugs. I don't party, so I'm like, 'Tattoos and hair color!'"

We can't really talk about last night's New York premiere of "Gravity" without also talking about the film's terrifying premise, a.k.a. astronauts floating untethered through the indifferent blackness of space after a catastrophic space shuttle accident, a.k.a. we cannot think about this even a second longer or we're going to start actually screaming. So instead, let's talk about Emma Watson! And how she's been showing up lately in a variety of beautiful, basic black-and-white looks for red carpet events! (Astronauts? What astronauts?)

Emma isn't actually in "Gravity"—her appearance at the premiere was likely a show of support for director Alfonso CuarĂ³n, who also helmed the third "Harry Potter" movie—but she was downright eye-catching in a white minidress with a tiered skirt and lots of shoulder exposure, paired with metallic pumps and some deep, dark lipstick. Very glam, very sexy...and yet almost demure in comparison to her belly-baring look at the GQ Men of the Year Awards a month ago, where the actress sported a pair of high-waisted black trousers and a cheeky bolero bandeau top in a lovely shade of ivory. And before that? It was an understated black silk dress with a plunge neckline for the "Bling Ring" premiere, along with chic striped pumps and ravishing red lips.

"It's an absolute honor and privilege to have been chosen to represent the Maison Lancome," the "Mortal Instruments" star said in a statement. Whether you yearn to be one-degree of poly-cotton blend from Robert Pattinson's heaving bosom or simply believe in the power of higher education, "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke may have something you'll be interested in. The auteur is hoping to raise $10,000 to benefit University of California students, and as an incentive to donate, she's offering the chance to win the very V-neck Bella (Kristen Stewart) wore during her first kiss with Edward.

All you have to do is gift $25 to her Promise for Education page, and you'll be entered for a chance to own a piece of movie history. Whether you keep it hermetically sealed in a subterranean vault or wear it to bed every night while clutching your Edward Cullen body pillow is completely up to you.

Sarah Hyland might not have been up for an Emmy on Sunday night, but she still came away from the awards pre-show red carpet with a victory in hand: the glamorous little minx is our winner of this week's Style Superstar title! YEAH. Put that in your porkpie hat and smoke it, Mr. Heisenberg.

Sarah swept in on a wave of green silk in this Carolina Herrera dress, with a plunging neckline, voluminous A-line skirt, and a gorgeous black Chantilly lace overlay. It's a great look for the petite actress: dramatic, feminine and a little bit gothic, but not so fussy as to overwhelm her small frame. Add in some well-matched statement jewelry and a vampy dark lip, and Sarah was one of the night's most eye-catching fashionistas.

With the 65th annual Emmy Awards on Sunday, TV's leading ladies are no doubt deep in prep mode for their night of glitz and glamour. And at least one of those dames, "Girls" creator and star Lena Dunham, has already procured a perfect party frock.

We, for one, can't wait to see this haute couture on the carpet.

If you were hoping to kick off your weekend with a lovely, multi-page spread of Emma Watson wearing some stunning, sustainably produced gowns, then congratulations: Your bizarrely specific dreams have just come true! Net-a-Porter's online magazine has the actress on model duty for Livia Firth's design challenge to create five ethical dresses.

For Emma, zipping into these beautiful looks was a no-brainer; ethical and eco-conscious fashion is one of the issues she's most passionate about. As she explained, "Maybe there would be fewer problems if we were really conscious of where and how things were made."
